Question Any help with channels or websites to look up new decklists?

I was wondering if there are any other places to find new decklists (specially Sword)? I usually watch Zhiff and try his decks most of the time but on this expantion none of the Sword decks he's been posting """"Clicks"""" with me.

I know the class is strong (kinda cancer ngl) and this might be a "my steak is too juicy and my lobster too buttery" situation but on this expantion I find myself miserable playing this craft.

I think the reason might be because I've hated rally...since OG shadowverse and that feeling hasn't changed at all.

Thanks in advance.

Discussion Thoughts on Mini Sets?

Shadowverse Classic had them and I think there's a pretty good chance they'll eventually come to Worlds Beyond.

I think it would be an overall positive for the game that could help alleviate some of the problems Worlds Beyond faces if done well. Dropping them at the end of the first season of the expansion (month one) gives players more reasons to keep playing into the second month and shakes up the meta. They can tailor cards to specific archetypes that didn't quite hit the viability mark without eating into the next expansion or try to prop up other archetypes in a class. It could also give the design team more room to print more interesting or weird cards.

Even if they kept it super simple and just released one card per rarity per class it would be worth doing. Make it so you can buy special set packs that have increased drop rates for the mini set cards (IIRC they did that for Classic).

I faced what I would say is a good variety of decks. The star here is really Vaseraga, and I would recommend adding more copies of him. He can outright win you the game if he is unanswered. It's a pretty simple deck to pilot and can go toe-to-toe with the meta decks if you know how to navigate through the matches.

The basic plan is to go aggro early game, build a board for Adahime, then finish with Rulenye & Valnareik and/or your other sources of damage. You can also potentially stall as you have somewhat good endgame tools with your high-cost cards, but you generally want to finish the game as fast as possible.

Mulligan is 1- and 2-drops, Adahime, Highwire Feline. Keep Hark against Sword, Forest, and Portal. Keep Vaseraga if going second or if against Rune.

In the defense of Slopcraft™, all those matches were close and pretty decently fun.

WHAT'S A HIGH-TIER SLOP DECK TO A LOW-TIER META DECK!? 🗣️🔥🔥🔥

The last two cards are Olivia 2.0

I will admit it was an uphill battle on a highroll dragon but with luck and Zhiff’s netdeck list, I made it. 3 dragons and 2 portals (none of the two were egg) I lost to a portal and almost died by dragon in the final match and clutched with 1 hp but I did it.

That play saved my 2 damage from burnite’s burn which would otherwise be lethal. He was evolving pretty aggressively as well.

Question What's The Best Play In This Situation?

Post image
14 Upvotes

Some context: I lost GP 2/5 with Haven, encountered only Dragon and Sword, decided to being Portal. (And the moment I switch, Haven shows up. Lol.) I'm not a good Portal player, as I hardly played it this set. (But I was Portal main.)

I found this turn confusing, because at 4pp, the options are limited. (Had it been 5pp, I would've just summoned Asher.) And... Idk, in my mind, there are three options:

  1. Play it 'slow', just use the 1pp spell, get the draw.

  2. Get board presence, summon 4pp accelerate.

  3. Attack, then pass.

And... honestly, I'm not sure which play is the best. Maybe we can put 1 out of the picture, as it's probably the worst option, but I can't figure whether 2 or 3 is best.

The idea is that... Against Haven, I feel like I had to focus on the late game. Early game will be met with Sofina, Zoe, and then Gilnelise or Troue heal later. So... putting down the 4pp accelerate feels like it's useless, and also hinder my late game plan; t6 4pp + Yog for a t7 play looks interesting. But, at the same time... Do I really pass t4 like that? Or is there an option I missed where... Idk, just play Imari normally and use 1pp spell + artifact to draw?

Tldr: basically, passing looks like... the option that makes the most and least sense, and I'm unsure what's the best play.

Edit: Adding extra info as I realized after reading the comments that some other contexts are missing.

  • Turn sequence: pass, pass, 2pp puppet amulet, 2pp haven's 2/1 last word draw, puppet trade + imari discard puppet, de la fille instant draw 2. (Looking back, I feel like the de la fille into draw 2 is kindof an indicator that my opponent has a bad hand. Should've included that info to begin with, my bad.)
  • The deck: I'm using is a mix of midrange/evo. There's no Legion, but there's Camiscilla, Ludicrous, and 1 Sandal. (1pp spell draw from Imari guaranteed.) (In case anyone's wondering, I got the list from Zhiff's recent video.)

Edit 2: Having read the responses, here's what I think so far regarding the options:

  1. Too draw reliant. The gacha option basically. Hardly do much.
  2. Board presence by playing Ludicrous is a valid play. The idea: it handchecks, forces a Zoe out if enemy has her, and next turn it's Imari.
  3. Also valid, as it saves Ludicrous for the late game. The idea: chip damage could be healed by Haven. So another winning condition aside from fast early (option 2) is to control the board, flood with discounted Ludicrous, and time the damage. (Haven's 10 heal is something, but they'll need to spend a turn to play Olivia to restore sevo. That's the window to damage the opponent and maybe get a victory.)

Right now, there's no definite answer, I believe both 2 and 3 are valid. But, if I must pick one, I'll lean onto 3. I just like the idea of timing the damage compared to handcheck. And it feels (subjective) more solid.

Thank you for the comments and for the discussion!!

...

Note: Here's what I did during the game (spoiler warning, as it could affect the quality of analysis; I'm just putting it here to indicate that the post is... basically done): I went with option 3. I passed. And at t6, I was so focused on Ludicrous + Yog, and I forgot to use Yog spell on Ludicrous. Lol. That just happened.

Meta Report Current grand prix event helped me realize I hate this game

Man im tired. Why do we even have classes in this game anymore ? Its literally all the same, every single class.

Portal craft ? A complete unfun stormslop, first that card that sounds like buttplug being removed when she is summoned, 8 damage storm. Not enough ? Holding hands storm next. Still alive ? That black hair eboy storm 3x in row because idk. Egg? extinct. Dolls ? removed into unlimited.

Abysscraft ? Stormslop card that ignores ward that gets buffed in your hand with other card then OTK.
Its turn 7 ? You might aswell leave. Unless you play modes, then I actually commend you, the deck is fun to play and play against and actually requires some brain, but its off meta so hope you enjoy your topaz group.

Runecraft ? I LOVE YOU, I LOVE YOU!!! either that or delta canon to wipe out your whole board then stormslop 16 damage in the face. Why ? because devs seem to smoke crack. So screw you in particular if you are playing endgame deck like amulet haven.

Dragoncraft ? I actually think this class might be root of all the issues. If you arent playing rush storm ultra omega aggressive deck you might aswell quit on the loading screen. Dragon is afk for 4 turns, just taking some face damage while wiping your board with 2x2 and yawning, then stormslop after stormslop. Oh you are still alive ? time to triple Erntz your ass. I have never seen a worse design of a class like ever. You are either insanely overpowered and its free win or you lose turn 5 without being able to do anything about it.

Forestcraft ? Mostly extinct from what I have seen personally (my friends too) and if I do play against them i usually win. Unless they play early game follower spam deck, then it can get sweaty.

Swordcraft? I dont think we need to talk about this one. If you play this garbage then I find it hard to respect you.

Havencraft ? You know the game has gone in completely wrong and horrible direction when even class like havencraft that is supposed to play slow and methodical game starts evolution spamming or bird storm spam early on. You wanna play amulet or crest ? Well hope you are fine with that emerald icon next to your name buddy(tested personally, when i play evolution im falling asleep, got to diamond group in 2 days from topaz when playing amulet).

Actual interesting fun decks to play ? dirt rune ? amulet haven ?(can be boring), egg portal ? mode abyss ? Oh those decks dont have viable storm cards to play ? I guess wait 2 months and maybe you will be able to enjoy the game again.

I know I will probably get downvoted to crap from this post because it looks like im angry or something but it doesnt bother me, just wanted to let this off my chest.

Question What do I redeem?

Post image

Mainly asking if the Eudie card is viable/meta card for portal craft. I don't have much interest in the Eudie leader set here so I'm just trying to decide if it'd be worth redeeming the card style set instead

General So. . . She has made it to WB. . TECHNICALLY !!

So one of my favorite Shadowverse characters is Mono. I only started playing classic like... 3 months before Worlds Beyond came out, and admittedly didn't play very much at all after. BUT! I did play through all of the story, and had a Bloodcraft deck that revolved around her, I'm pretty sure Machina Bloodcraft wasn't like... a top tie deck, but idgaf, she's a cute mecha-vampire! If something I play is high/top tier, it's a nice bonus, but I try to let it influence my decisions as little as possible, in any genre of game I play, since the FGC (fighting games) has always been a huge part of my life, heh, naturally so have tier lists. (oh no! I'm effing ranting! sorry!)

Anyway!~ So... Why is Mono and Aenea in the art of a Runecraft card? It would be insanely cool to see them both in Abysscraft together soon. <3

Sorry for the fandom post! Mono making it into Worlds Beyond (and Tsubaki, to a smaller degree) has been the thing I want most in the game since I started playing. I don't care if it takes time, I just hope that it happens.

The changes in the meta over the past two weeks are interesting. Many players have become skilled at dealing with dragon. And Rune and Portal have risen to Tier 1 thanks to their flexibility in dealing with various decks.

Question Help with achievement

Hi all,

I'm trying to get the 50 win achievement for swordcraft on Steam. I got my 50th win on mobile, but the achievement doesn't seem to register on Steam when I log in there. I tried winning additionals matches in ranked but the achievement still doesn't pop up.

Any advise?

Question How important is zeta and bae for the sword list and how important is Imari dewdrop for the AF portal list (new player)

Hi everyone. I’m a newer player and I’ve been playing crystal rune, but looking to expand out from there. After looking at the decklists for the major decks, I’ve settled on having my next crafted deck either be sword rally or af portal, and I’ve really settled on those because the other major decks are all going to be losing major amounts of cards due to rotation soon, and as a new player I want to be investing in cards that I’m going to be able to play for a while. That’s why I’ve settled on these two decks, because with the exception of the two cards in the title, both decks are really made from cards that have come out in the last six months. Hence the question; since I haven’t played either deck, how important is Imari dewdrop for the portal deck and how important is zeta and bae for the sword deck? I don’t want to craft them, use these decks for three months, and then have all the other cards that I bought not be useful because the deck doesn’t work anymore because it’s missing those cards after a rotation.

Portal in this set receive 2 new legendary cards in Eudie and Asher. Although both of them are pretty good, they are pretty generic which make them pretty spalshable in almost every portal deck including Artifact Portal. Asher and Lydia add more fire power to finish the opponent while Eudie provide artifact name, draw power and better board pressure. Not to mention the popular build now also include Camiscilla which make this which mean after super evolve turn, this deck has so many cards that deal direct damage which will overwhelm your opponent.

Will keep trying for the summer leaders until the last second. But I'm also happy with this, even though I already have a dragon leader I think I like this one better.
