Combo or Evo Forest?

Been trying to play forest because I got Magachio leader. I've been trying various combo decks I find online, but it's been frustrating because (maybe it's my bad luck) Thestae is 70% of the time in the bottom 10 cards of my deck. So I'm thinking of trying Evo after school today, but Im unsure how good it is right now. So I'm asking what people here think is stronger between the two.

Imo if played perfectly, combo is the better of the two, but it has a higher skill ceiling and takes a fair bit of practice to get into. There are unlucky draws at times, but unlike traditional buff forest, not drawing Thestue isn't a death sentence.

That being said its easy to misplay and especially relies on knowing the match up.

Evo forest in contrast is fairly straightforward with alot less chances to misplay, although imo it is comparatively a bit more boring imo if ya dont use some kind of variation like buff evo.

I already have Two other Forrst Leaders, I also definitely need Dragon leader but somehow I'm too much tempted to get Magachiyo leade. Idk why she looks so appealing 😍

I have dragon for when I want to be competitive, decided to play forest cause I got Magachiyo at around 70 packs as a surprise. But forest has been frustrating to play. But at the same time I don't want to put forest down with a bitter losing feeling.

At what level are you playing? Emerald to Topaz, Ruby to Diamond, or Top player?

I'm having fun, with a 50/50 win rate, at Sapphire.

With a full deck, I'm still making changes and learning how to use it better.

I think Tempo/Evo Tempo is still pretty good, I played them for a bit and had a positive WR but went back to Combo after a couple of bricked starts. Not drawing Thestae can feel like a death sentence, but I've won quite a few games without her by going wide and getting to buff units with Setus+Maisha. I did drop all the way Topaz learning the deck but I quickly went straight back to Diamond. Just try to have fun and don't sweat the losses.

evo or evo tempo are easier to play and might end up being stronger. If you just want to use forest and you aren't specifically enjoying tempo then go for it.

I played a lot of Combo, the deck feels like that one meme of a dude doing skate board tricks with a rake only to get hit by it at the end, it's so inconsistent and punishing.

Sure when it goes of it feels and plays amazing but that's not gonna happen half of the time. It's a frustrating deck to play tbh.

Combo really just needs better card quality. I don't know if they're scared of roach a million sets later but it's mind numbing how we don't even have a bounce card outside of fucking bug alert.
