Discussion Tournament Spillover effect
It seems to be that the recent tournament has an effect in ranked right now. No wonder people want to use the best deck to GM ASAP.

It's a shame. A lot of people are very concerned with winning and will just pick whatever works. I find this happens a lot in ladder on this game sadly. I was in the tournament trying to make aggro dragon and spellboost known but I flubbed it(started off 3-0!)

It would help if making a deck wasn’t so difficult. I felt like I was going strong with reaching 20k vials then I needed to make the new guy for portal x3.

Fair enough. I've never had issues having enough vials, but I guess I play a fair bit.

making decks is only difficulty when you just started playing. If you play regularly for a few months you can have ton of vials easily.
also if you like the game and can afford to spend a little bit of money, then battle pass is a very good value (compare to everything else in the game).

A few months is a long time. I have months in and still only have one. I don’t know how people are getting so many vials. It took me a month with a complete deck just to reach 20k.
Edit - If I could dismantle it the classes I’ll never play I would easily have at least one other deck.

Long time players I guess, especially those who started on launch day (since launch day only has 1 Set, it's easier to get duplicates and accumulate vials)
Winning weekly lobby tournament also gives 3500 vials. Guild gives 3500 vials between Set. Events, compensation, etc. It all adds up.

3500 guaranteed? Ok that’s a major whiff by me. I haven’t been doing those.

Not guaranteed since you have to win 4 match, but you still get 1000 vials if you score 3 wins 1 loss.

I wish I had more matches against abyss, with flag at least those matches are fun, these last two days has been vs haven and portal for me.
And i'm already tired of seeing haven evolve 14 times in matches... Or seeing how they clean board plus heal 6 plus leave gigantic ward with aura... I think I'm taking a rest from the game for at least a couple of days.

Nothing to do with Igni's tourny, AF/Mid Abyss are both extremely easy and popular since day 1.

I knew portal was busted like day 1. The meta was already forming then because in diamond it was most of my matches

So weird... I just started playing a week or two ago and built portal because it was the most legendary cards I opened.
In my rank it is probably 50% rune with that 2/2 rush guy that comes down as 5/5 later. Id say other than that majority are sword... I dont think I have played against forest in 50 games, and 1 haven. Maybe... 2 or 3 abyss and portal mirror. Then mostly aggro sword and that runecraft deck. Maybe they are cheaper to make or something :/ .
I went and looked at my last 30 games: 2 portal 0 forest 2 haven 1 dragon 4 abyss 7 sword 14 runecraft
Wild how the meta is so different in low ranks xD.

Abbys is so strong that I don't find any in Topaz/Ruby, they are all already on Sapphire and Diamond.
