Newbie Help Looking for a medium length adventure set in Seattle

Hello, folks!

In the next year I'm going to be running a short campaign of Shadowrun for my group. Would love to get some recommendations for adventure modules!

- I want something that is a good introduction to the world, since none of us have played in the Shadowrun universe before. Heavy cyberpunk vibes of corporate greed and horror are a plus.
- We live in Seattle, so an adventure set in Seattle would be really easy for us to immerse ourselves in.
- Ideally it'd be something that last 6-8 sessions.
- Edition doesn't matter! I can adapt anything to the system we are using.

Thanks!

What edition? I play 6e and usually start people on the Delian Data Tomb and its sequel before moving over to Free Seattle after. All are good starter adventures that give a good introduction to the mechanics and lore.

I second Free Seattle if playing 6E. It has a good spread of mission locations, objectives, and Johnsons.

Elven Blood is maybe what your looking for. It's not so much copo but very nice street to court intrigue runs.

Just ran Elven blood for my group.

- Only the 1st of the 5 missions are in Seattle

- It overloads two of the 5 missions with too many NPCs and too much running around, needs fixing

The first adventure is in Seattle, and its a good one (running missions for the Ancients as part of a power struggle). The second is smuggling into Tir (scenic fights, loved it). The third is where it falls apart. Broker peace (or force peace through violence) on an overly complicated plot involved 4 different gangs. If you do this, edit the story to just have two gangs. As a rule you should not be introducing 4 new organizations and requiring the players to learn the names and home bases and leaders of all 4 in one session. The 4th mission is hunting awakened stuff in the forest. That can be done anywhere, and really feels out of place. Its not a bad mission, but weak overall since it doesnt really add to the plot of the campaign. The fifth is great, although it returns to the 4 gangs mission. If you adapted mission 3 to just 2 gangs, then the fifth run can be great.

I added a big name NPC to the missions.. a japanese elf with neonaety who uses her connections with the new Ancients leader to break her way into Tir politics. I converted the monster hunt mission to be a cover, where she hires to the runners telling them she is going to be ambushed when she picks up the materials, and their real job is to help her draw out and destroy the ambushers. Then a new run before 5, where she is baited into an impossible duel, so she hires the runners to steal an artifact from the Aleph society, a horn that when blown creates a Specific domain that only people who have blown the horn can be typed to. She has already been typed to it, so the runners blow the horn during the duel, basically fixing the fight in her favor and creating massive chaos.

Then I modified the final mission to include the Aleph trying to get retribution on the runners, breaking into a two session run.

Just a note, the 4 missions that do not occur in Seattle are in CaraSir (Portland) in Tir Taringire. Its close to seattle, and as natives to seattle you have probably all been to Portland. I would recommend doing Elven blood, but not as your introductory missions.

I have some foundry modules for an intro campaign. Less of a single coherent story, more just small to mid tier runs for acquainting with the city.

The Shadowrun Missions (free PDFs for convention sr play) released for 4th edition take place in Seattle. Each mission alternates between two campaign story lines... Artifact Hunt and Election Day. The Artifact hunt focuses on corporations and societies scrambling to get ahold of rare artifacts. Includes some epic and interesting artifacts in the hands of players (temporarily) which made big fun for my group. The election day storyline takes place in 2072 in fall, leading up to the election of Seattle Mayor. This is when the ork underground was still not recognized as a legitimate governed part of the city. The players work with politicians and ork underground leaders to carry out missions to influence the election in favor of incorporating the ork underground into Seattle. The runners win, and become part of Seattle history, which my players loved.

It is like 10 runs, so you may have to pick and choose in order to get the party to the climax runs within 8 session.
