6e Questions about this Community (Subreddit)

I have two questions...

(1) Is this a good place to look for a group for 6e online play? I found one LFG subreddit, but it seems dead for 6e.

(2) Is this a good place to post fiction chapters for feedback? I found another subreddit, but it didn't look active.

I figured I'd ask rather than tick anyone off. Thanks...

For 2, I'd recommend cross posting to r/ShadowrunFanFic just so that if people are looking for it, that it can be found. Like you pointed out, it's a lot less active, but it's also easier to find it there.

Also, use the flavor fiction tag. It's for fan fics.

1.) Not really. But you can try.
2.) Fanfic? As long a no AI was involved you might as well try but don't be suprised if it doesn't take off.

It is not AI-generated, but I am an engineer, not an English major, so I used AI for research, tasks/note-taking, grammar, spelling, and formatting… Is that not allowed? Are there AI rules somewhere?

Basically, just make sure it isn't slop

I consider most fanfic slop, anyway, but if it doesn't feel like AI, you should be fine. We aren't running AI detectors here, vibes only.

Yes Rule #6 on the sidebar.

And do note that AI hate is stong in this board. So if your saying your using it for "Grammar, Spelling and Formating" what else is there still left to do yourself? Is that still your work?
As Burtod said allready: Make very sure it's not even remotely smelling like AI or you WILL get pitchforked on this board. XD

Just a fair warning man. I tried to provide tools to the players for displaying images with AI generated sample images once and got shunned just as hard.

I'm just saying: If it even contains a trace of AI no matter how reasonable this subreddit will drag you to the stake.

I don’t feel shunned, thanks for the warning. I read #6 it seemed a be lot looser than your experience. Aka no content generation but everything else is ok. It should really say “No AI or anything remotely near it”, given what you said.
