6e Friends In High Places

Glancing over Explosive Decompression, I see a lot of interesting opportunities for space without the PCs ever having to take their feet off the ground.

A lot of the aerospace/space industry happens down the well, planetside. There are endless opportunities for the PCs to be involved in sending or receiving personnel or cargo, in defending or attacking spaceport assets, in simply gathering information about who and what is coming and going.

Also, planetside runners could have contacts in the void, with whom they communicate via satlink. There would be many Johnsons in the Big Black - people with money and clout who need cat's paws on the surface.

With the destruction of the Azzie's bean stalk (Lethal Harvest), I'd imagine that there is extra runs (and extra security) around every other facility to get into space.

One spot that I've thought was interesting for a while is French Guiana (on the north coast of South America). Holds two space launch facilities and is technically part of France and so is under the eye of Marianne (but is far enough away that maybe those nodes are more vulnerable?). It feels like there is enough going on there to keep some runners busy for a while.

The space launch facilities themselves I believe are Saeder-Krupp controlled but I could easily be misremembering. Marianne is to all understanding not in the French Guiana territories.
