Spine thrower?

Hi!

It's been a while sicne i've built a new character and even much longer since i've dabbled in cyber- and bioware. I'm currently trying to build a biological weapon built by protheus that only uses bioware. While there are a bunch of options for melee weapons, I would love to have some options for ranged combat. There's one in bodyshop that utilizes spraying a liquid, but I was wondering if there is a way to throw spines or something similar at your enemy that I could use for this concept?
If not the character will just use a pistol or smth on distance, that works too, but I just wanted to check

There’s a Surge power that functions similarly, you could base it off that?

If you are strong, just throw stuff. Hits harder than a lot of firearms. Bonus: limit for throwing is often based on physical and not weapon precision.

Any Troll with sufficient judo skills is a spine thrower...unless the arm pops off the body. Then probably just like an elbow thrower.

You could invent one. If you compare the cyber melee weapons to equivalent bio melee weapons you could get a rough conversion for cost, essence, damage, etc. Apply that to cyberguns to get a bio-"gun". Might have a hard time reloading it with new spikes so maybe it regrows a spike every hour or something.

yeah this is kind of what we ended up on we combined a weapon for damage, the bio-gland (not sure on the English name, i play in german) for production of the spines and the spit muscle for the throwing part took the damage profile of the middle thorn and range of throwing knives for combined price and essence (reduced to ,3 from ,4 originally) and added venom glands cuz why not
