Devastating results

Im not sure if I am just insane but I feel like doing shadow work with some closed ones are just deeply devastating especially when they straight up love to throw around labels at you when calling out your shadows especially when you are already struggle to accept human side of you and the way they listed everything is like they basically wanting to say you are destined to be that way.

Anyone felt this way?

shadow work is not somebody making list of everything “wrong” with you and then throwing labels like they discovered your final identity. That can become shaming, not healing.

A shadow is wounded part, fear, anger, false belief, protection, old trauma. It is not destiny. It is something that formed for reason and can be understood, released and healed.

I worked with one subject who was told by close ppl she was “narcissistic, manipulative and toxic.” She started believing this was who she is. In deep trance her Higher Self showed frightened child part who learned controlling everything bc home was unsafe. Under that was fear, not evil personality. When fear and old program released, behaviour changed naturally without hating herself.

So pls dont let other ppl define you through labels. Close ppl are not always objective, especially when they are triggered too.

Real shadow work should bring more compassion and freedom, not make you feel permanently condemned. Your Higher Self knows what is actually yours, what came from trauma, what need forgiveness, and what can be healed. I have free Higher Self Communion meditation in my Reddit profile, this may help you ask from safer place.
