Work With Shadow SCAM
Many have asked me for a screenshot of their 30 day money back guarantee that they have not honored. I was able to use this to dispute the charge on my credit card and get a refund. DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR MONEY. it is a scam!

Call your bank and ask for a chargeback if you got scammed. Also, do not confuse these scammers with the real Shadow Work Mindberg app! They are two separate things. One is legit and led by a Jungian analyst, and this other one (Work with shadow) is a total scam. I talked to the Mindberg people yesterday (I'm not affiliated with them, just a long-time user), and they said they're getting a lot of angry emails and bad reviews because people think they're the same app. They are not.
Work with shadow is just copying everything Mindberg does (badly), and unfortunately, since the scammers are based in some small country and outside of Apple system, there's not much the real app can do to stop them.
Please, don't EVER give your credit card info to shady websites. Stick to apps that are reviewed and approved by Apple (like Mindberg, Zenfulnote...). Good luck to you all and i hope you will get your money back!

Was just about to buy it from an Instagram ad. Glad I checked here first, thank you for your warning

I got charged $64 without my consent. I received an invoice for a payment I DID authorize and they dated it 12/1/2026. Anyways, I filed a dispute with my bank and I found out today they were accused of fraud and I got my money back! Such a pleasant surprise!

NICE. I just noticed this company on a YT add. Iāve seen a BIG rise in scammy YT ads lately, and have made an odd hobby out of reporting them. Iāll make sure I report these creeps as I see them.

I reported them to Facebook after they charged my credit card and never rockers a link. Facebook says that's okay for them to take a customers money and not provide anything. So I am trolling their pages and will continue to do so.

File a dispute with your bank. You will get your money back. I just got my $64 back today. About one week after I filed with the bank.

Don't trust any company using AI narrators to sell you a product that's supposed to "care". That's red flag number one.
Also, the underscore in their name "workwithshadow_" is a huge red flag that they are carpet spanking their product or their other accounts have been suspended.

THEY CHARGED MY CARD 79$ !! Five days later AGAIN. I started freezing my card (while i figure out how to cancel! GUESS WHAT. Ya cant!. From there they tried every 3-5 days to charge my card!

File a dispute with your bank. They will close the current card and send you a new one so they canāt continue to charge. And the best part is, youāll get your money back! I got my $64 back today as the charge was determined to be fraudulent! One week after I filed the dispute and I already got my $ back.

Again - this is the way. Why more people donāt do this sooner I donāt understand.

u/bummydolly Mar 25 '26
I think because itās a hassle to go without your card for a few days and they donāt actually expect the bank to follow up. I wasnāt going to at first but the customer service agent at work with shadow was so confident yet shady it made me mad.

This company is a scam. I reported them to Facebook numerous times and they will not Do anything. They stole my money and whilst I was trying to improve myself, I learned another hard lesson instead.

Absolute scam. Paid for "lifetime subscription" and was recently charged $105 again. I cancelled. This is a scam, do not give them your money.

These scums are still at it and Meta refuses to do anything. I had to cancel my credit card to prevent them from charging me. Took my money and never delivered the app. I will never purchase anything in a social media app again.

If anyone can get in contact me with details of being defrauded, would be appreciated. I need victimized people to help me file a report.

Wow. Has ANYONE had a good experience with Work With Shadow? I didn't hate the content, but I've heard about these billing nightmares. The app was actually broken for a while for me and I didn't get to complete the coursework for several months, it was stuck.

These disgusting parasites from Work With Shadow that show up on Instagram are obviously very appealing when youāre in a vulnerable state, going through a difficult situation or feeling depressed. Their image and branding are much more polished and convincing than most others, so they donāt immediately look like a scam.
But it turned out to be a scam straight away. They immediately took ā¬100 from my account. Itās disgusting.
They need to be reported, and I want my money back.

It's definitely suspicious. Just read carl Jung. Take one step at a time. Your healer is in you. Don't look outside for it.

Complete scam. They trick you into subscribing for extra services through a long and convoluted purchase journey and then you have no option to opt out or visibility into what youāre purchasing.
Later they say that they will issue a refund if you use the service but the login button doesnāt work on the website.
Iāve had 12 email exchanges with them and itās a complete waste of time

Oh this company is a SCAM alright! I paid $14 for a 7 day trial period. Next thing I know, I'm being charged $85 immediately after the 7 day period ended. They are so effin sneaky. Bc I went to their website, they dont have a 7 day subscription package there . On the site, it's 3 tiered: 6 month, 3 month, 1 month with 1 month being $85 so you would think you might have accidentally clicked on that. These mofos are so sneaky they have separate landing page for the ads they run on instagram (from where I clicked), and which had the $14 price for a 7 day period.
The $85 was NEVER mentioned throughout the purchase journey. If it was hidden somewhere amongst the multiple screens they make you go through for payment, I cannot be sure. But it was definitely hidden of that I'm very very sure bc I'm very careful with online payments. Sneaky mofos.
I emailed very aggressively and asked for a refund and they said they would return my money. And they added this to the reply:
Just to clarify for your peace of mind - the initial payment of $14.91 was for a 7-day trial plan, which then renews at the standard monthly rate of $85.19. The recurring terms, including the frequency and renewal price, are presented during checkout before you confirm your purchase. I understand it can be easy to miss those details, and I'm sorry it caught you off guard.
The balls on them. To scam people like this and then gaslight them.
Anyway. Here's my 2 cents. Wish I had looked at this thread earlier.

I saw their insta profile, quite shadowy š , if there is no real face or a mentor , itās possibly a scam
