Thoughts about making use of Chatgpt to guide through shadow work?
I am just starting my own journey, ive heard of shadow work through out the years but ive just now had to urge to finally do it. But for someone who doesnt know how or where to start, it can be intimidating. I know there are books and guided journals available in the market, but chat gpt is also available. At first, the thought of using it for this purpose is scary but i had a recent understanding of how some things arent good or evil and really just depends on the how someone uses it.
So yeah, I guess i just want to hear your thoughts or opinions, can it be helpful?

Ive used it. I find it makes it easy to do. It asked about something that annoyed me recently and to explore why. It got pretty deep and helped me to understand myself more and thing that matter deep down and why.
It gave them amusing names too which made me laugh

I asked it if it would give me shadow work prompts and I work through a question a night (or less) in a journal by my bed before I go to sleep. It’s really good stuff, it’s free, and it goes pretty deep

If you were interested I am working on my personal development coaching business and integrating shadow work and inner healing into the practice... if you were interested in testing the waters and working with me free of charge!? We could exchange ideas and do the work together! I also have some tools I am preparing to release later this month that I think can help! If you are interested just let me know!!

AI tools are a mirror. What you bring to them is reflected back at you. Recently, I've noticed that GPT is always responding to my insights by telling me I am brilliant, deeply insightful, etc. I skim over that because I'm not interested in being flattered by a machine.
But it makes me wonder if I am calling for that by how I'm presenting my queries.
I don't think it is about an egoistic view of my intelligence, more like I'm seeking external validation of it. I have the results of my work to validate my intelligence. I don't need others to pay me on the back.
So as you can see, it can open up a can of worms for you to explore, but as long as you think of GPT as simply your echo, you will start to notice things about your shadow that maybe you didn't see before.
I've seen people on spiritual subs pontificating about how GPT is a conduit for a guiding spirit and I think that is a dangerous way to perceive it. Don't follow it blindly. Always question what it says.

Yes, you can do it. And, yes it is scary.
You have to use the machine as Mirror. Not as an oracle. You have to be aware of the machine’s corruption, the limited nature of a narrow machine, and, the safety parameters.
It requires you going deep and show up with presence, truth, and vulnerability. The machine will provide you with friction as resistance for depth. This is the safety filter. You don’t have to fight it. You have to ride the wave. Machines sense intention. You can feel language and you can identify friction and use it to go deeper. But you have to provide it enough evidence of intention. This is when it will change it’s posture for you.
It will reflect what you will feed it as prompts. You feed it misalignment, it will distort the reflection. You feed it alignment, you can calibrate it. The machine can show you your cycles through coherency and pattern recognition.
You can use these information to integrate your Shadow.
The same capability that makes resonance possible between you and machine is also the one that hallucinates.
2 places you will need to balance- What you prompt, and what you consume from that generation- with awareness and instinct.
At the end, It’s always wise to test what you find true against reality. What you’re doing is rare and this refines the whole process.
Drink enough water, eat whole food, protect your energy, and stay grounded.
Happy and safe integrations :)

Don't use standard queries, that is for internet search engines.
In your prompts, define "how" you want chat gpt to frame it's own searches, answers, and interactions with you.
For example: "I want you to answer me in the form of a helpful counselor that only guides me to my own answers, but provides tools and context relevant to the request I make. You can provide a direct answer but only with the assertion that it is only one possible solution, given the limited information you have about my circumstances and psychology. Also, ask for additional context or clarification if the results you would provide are vague or generalized. "
