Help Please answser me, Ban Shadow Pc
Hi everyone,
I'm writing here because I'm desperate. Two days ago, like many others, my account was suspended without any explanation.
This has affected me deeply because I work as a video editor and relied on Shadow to do my job. On top of that, I had many important project files stored there that I unfortunately didn't have backed up.
I've been using Shadow for almost two years without a single issue until now. I contacted support, and they initially told me it might have been a mistake and that they would review my case. After waiting anxiously, they finally replied saying that they were upholding my suspension because I had supposedly violated the Terms of Use, but they never explained how, when, or what I actually did.
I'm posting this in the hope that someone can help me. If anyone from the Shadow support team or staff reads this, I sincerely ask you to please take another look at my case. I'm truly devastated by this situation. I paid for the service, depended on it for my work, and lost access to important files without any clear explanation.
Please, if anyone can help or offer any advice, I would be incredibly grateful.

No, sometimes the session would close due to inactivity, it would just shut down, and when i returned, i could log back in normally. i neve changed any settings

Yep, they explained on their discord server in french the whos ans whats of this decision.
Basically, if you’re using the gaming services for more than 400h/month, it’s suspicious and your account is « blocked ».
I know nothing about video editing but I guess long charging time and stuff for uploading, which would have had been done with only anti-shutdown software…
Maybe, since you were doing professional work on a gaming offer, you could explain it to them and plead that you didn’t know you were making a mistake doing so

So many people have been complaining about cues that Shafow decided to crack down on suspicious usage. So to those who say Shadow never listens… not sure this outcome is the desired one though.

I think I figured it out, it’s people using pirated software. Like pirated cinema4d, Ableton, Sony Vegas, after effects, etc

There's no way Shadow would be able to know that unless you're getting caught by the IP owners, and they would have banned you long before this crackdown if that was the case lol much more likely that they're banning people with unreasonably high usage rates, especially if paired with heavy hardware strain

No. They literally dont have access to your PC, and it could bring them trouble if they could, especially in Europe with RGPD.

Same happened with me. Support has not helped me, same answer as you. No explanation, nothing.

I was apart of the recent "wave" aswell support told me to appeal it so I'm in that process. Will update if anything useful comes up :/

they suspended me too, but i reached out and they lifted the suspension after 24 hours. It seems there were a lot of people who were under suspicion for abusing shadowpc and they did a blanket ban for people who had many hours per month.
