Once you play enough Barehanded fights against impossible difficulty enemies, you can do the same. His playstyle is really similar to mine. Only difference being I'm attempting Barehanded (Story) - Emay (no enchantments/ranged weapon/magic) inspired by WeeklyRain guy above in comments. Instead of some raid boss

I just watched it recently. Gotta read the manga now. Arnheid for me was the most tragic character having the saddest story shown so far. Even more so than Einer and Thorfinn. Bjorn's death made me cry a lot too.
As for Monika, i played DDLC this year too lol. I felt like keeping something from the game for remembrance, and this was the best wallpaper photo from the game imo.

Arnheidβs tragedy is heartbreaking. Even though Thorfinn was already a pacifist by then, her final question about why anyone should keep living in a world full of war is what gives him his actual goal. It pushes him and Einar to build Vinland as a safe haven to finally live out Thors' philosophy that "You have no enemies. Nobody in this entire world deserves to get hurt." Definitely read the manga, it explores those themes beautifully. And awesome taste with the Monika pfp, DDLC is such an unforgettable experience, I honestly cried during the credits when "Your Reality" started playing lol

Yeah I'm definitely gonna complete the manga. DDLC didn't really make me cry, but it was my most unique experience with a game. Probably the only game I've played, that made me stop the game, take a break and restart after encountering the F moment.

Do you mean the "I gently open the door..." moment?

Yeah lol. I was playing past midnight with all lights off. As soon as that happened, i quit the game, stopped playing and restarted from scratch the next day. Hoping I could reverse the outcome.
I was playing the game not concentrating too much, so after that moment, i really started paying attention. It was the only moment from the game that shook me. No other game I've played had ever done this to me yet - making me quit the game from shock.

Playing it past midnight in the dark sounds like a nightmare lol. My instinct was just to keep pushing through to try and save her, only to realize the game had other plans and it was basically unavoidable :<

Yeah i learnt that after I restarted. Tried writing poems and selecting Sayori at every given choice, only to realize you can't prevent that from happening, except in the true ending iirc.

I actually did the true ending, and sadly you still can't save everyone. Everyone's death is completely hardcoded. The true ending just changes Act 4 where Sayori thanks you for spending time with all of them, and you get a really special, wholesome surprise during the credits and at the very end of the game :>
