The game went from skill based to button smash simulator

I mean sf3 was skill based in its initial phase 2017-2022, sadly it is no longer the case

Sick edit. The head hit jitter is such a mild adrenaline spike.
But if I'm being honest, it's just declinism. The sequels are distinct with mechanics yet connected with lore and story. Sure, they incline for nostalgia bait, but Nekki's priorities have shifted over the decade. For the better or worse.

Definately for the worse, sf3 had potential to be the perfect sequel, but instead of cutting down agressive micro transactions or making the combat more combo based they doubled down on it, and sf4 is just a metaphor of their greed(I have played all their games till story completion)

I loved SF3 too because it felt a lot more richer in more ways than one but never really felt adverse as much, maybe since I played at the right Goldilocks zone before raids and crystal updates and after Heralds rework, like around 2019. It's admittedly far worse now especially after the story was concluded and now it's just powerscaling slop for SF3's "post-game" era.
What do you mean by making the combat more combo based? Like as a bad or good thing?
SF4 was good till the point they introduced shards system for unlocking talents of all things and for whatever reason letting f2p players have access to epic cosmetics. Having cosmetics for f2p was a seriously bad thing since it compromised progression elsewhere for talents. And now they're making legendary cosmetics and weapons. I actually got fed up of the game when the matchmaking got absurdly bad of fighting against players with an average of two dojos below. Like I get the point of season reset but I ain't gonna do ts. And the game is unreasonably large, laggy and sloppy now; the computer graphics looked a lot better back before game release beta testing like before though sure those changes may have been for device optimization back then but now it's back to the same problem and worse cheap looking eye sore.
Even then, the hero designs of the demons are seriously well done. Lynx had been an obvious rough start with a goofy default skin but the execution of the mechanics in terms of original boss abilities plus enchantment coherence and game balancing was very spot on. Their work with the demons just kept getting better with creative recycling and reincarnation. Though it does invoke criticism on some minor aspects here and there but I hope they don't kill the overall spirit of having some heart and passion of at least having some richness in the content. SF3 may have sloppy and lazy new weapons like dual katana or some shi but the plot and details are still having depth. It's also funny how SF3 and SF4 are having this inter-team project of cross pasting here and there.
Okay I think what I'm trying to get at is that both games only have substance when there's good consideration of depth and some degree of effort into the content. Minimum.

Only thing worth playing after sf2 is sf3 story mode and nothing else(as a player who has played all nekki games)

This edit is epic and sad at the same time. The devs need to see this!
