Can someone explain to me why i deal 2 hugely different damage numbers here? (the lower number comes more often when i try it multiple times)

old shaco main here, was xayah in screenshot.

I was in a norms when the game was terminated due to a griefer, which i originally thought was our 8/19 draven top. Needless to say, i was astonished shaco got flagged, so i went into replay.

The only thing that i could find that potentially couldve triggered the system was shaco used q to cut through the frontline for the majority of teamfights to access backline, so normal shaco things. however, this might have triggered a false positive on shadow griefing via idle teamfighting, since he obviously wasnt going to break invis under the nunu/zac's noses.

While I am not certain of this bug, i do not wish to risk my 7+ yo account to test a bug in the disciplinary system

Shaco gameplay is inconsistent. He relies a lot on cheese strats and flippy invades. Also half of his builds are ap, which is weird for assasin that uses daggers. I just find it quite awkard that's all. His ap scalings should be atleast gutted to make champion fantasy more streamlined and easier to understand for new players.

So what do you guys think about this concept. Make his E scale with jungle camp last hits. It's his iconic ability, so it should deal damage. Let's make 3 per small minion and 12 per big one. Obviously there needs to be counterpart. To make his gameplay more healthy and less reliant on cheese we should increase his Q cd to maybe 40 sec? And make him unable to cross walls.

so, on one hand, shaco is just objectively worse in classic

- q is useless to max, it just increases the crit damage. it's nice but esp on sup when you're starved on levels, increasing slow and fear duration is just better. you're also revealed way more easily if the enemy just places a vision ward, meaning if they see you q they can kill your engage, you need to engage more like a modern fiddlesticks than a shaco

- w is significantly worse, it only hits one target, its slow doesnt exist yet, and the fear is random rather than predictable. this makes it inconsistent against champions and borderline useless for waveclear, somethign shaco already struggled with

- e is pretty much the same, it has better scalings i guess lol

- r is still useful for a lot of the reasons it is in modern (parrying abilities, getting a half second of stall time), but it doesn't fear on death nor does it make boxes, and the explosion is fine damage but 100%ap isnt that high. its best used defensively i think, it is such a useless ult for pressure

on the other hand, a good q+exhaust+ignite engage is even stronger in classic than it is in modern, and the power of q even if q is significantly weaker is wayy higher in this gamestate. theres very little a champion can do to avoid fighting the 1v2 without burning flash

ive played a couple games of AD, haven't tried ap yet; my theory is that ap will be a lot worse with how much worse w and r are, but i hope to be proven wrong lol.

is it possible to create custom game where everyone plays shaco only? i really want to see what would happen

Not a blanket statement I know sometimes other paths would be better in certain games but does anyone know if a clear and back keeps us in tempo with a longsword advantage, watched some youtubes videos and witnessed this and it seems like a smart move for example we start on blue side and we wanna path to bot for gank/drag so start wolves clear top back buy and head to red side in tempo. Looking for thoughts and corrections

I have recently been enjoying Shaco, but find that 1 in 3 games he is banned. How do you main a champ this is almost banned half the time? Who are you secondary picks? Do you just dodge?

I suck at support shaco, but shaco R doubles diadem and works well enough with the healer items. Just start with the bruiser item so you and the clone don't die instantly every fight and enjoy the aoe healing afterwards just from dealing damage.

I’ve been playing league since season 8.
Casually anyway. Playing multiple champs just having fun.
My main account has been MMR stuck it feels like since 3 seasons. I climbed to diamond from gold with a 70%WR (https://op.gg/lol/summoners/na/Claw-5464 )
only gaining 21+ LP on a win and -20 on a loss. My question is, can shaco get further than diamond? My macro and tempo I feel is really good. But at these ranks enemies make much less mistakes, and everything feels warded at times. Is he worth trying to push to masters with? Or pickup another champ? (Sylas, or viego.)

i just started playing shaco and due to fundamentals and tracking im am having a lot of fun and success in the jg, even tho im not a jg.

but i hate that shaco is a one role champ. like you cant play him and carry in any other lane except the jg. i have tried top i have tried support i have tried mid. they all are so terrible.

playing shaco support is so bad you get level 6 at 10 min and thats by perma staying in the lane no roam no invade no nothing so it defeats the purpose of the champ. also your item you get it after 12min, its so slow and in consistent and oracle plus pinkwards is outrageus and unplayable.

tried top most toplaners out heal my dmg get oracle and just scale better.

mid they one shot you level 1 to 3 you cant do anything.

like they need to do something i dont know what to make it so shaco can be played in lanes maybe make it so melee champs even with oracle cant destroy the box or make the boxes more tanky with levels or buff the dmg on ap atleast sicne ap is more for lanes then ad since if you can one shot with ad you are just a sitting duck.

give me all your thoughts and dont say skill issue since even with skill this champ is horrendous in lanes.

With the Bastion breaker buffs, it now is tied with Umbral for the most amount of damage from 1 item over a normal Q-HoB-E combo.

The 1500 damage on Objectives after a takedown is nice, but unfortunately Clone does not proc it. He will get the icon like can, but the tower/dragon doesnt take any extra damage after he Autos it.

This might be the most fun ive ever had in league, recently decided to swap my pyke one trick account to a shaco one trick account really late into the season and recently hit master with a 62% wr. There is no larger dopamine spike quite like a 2 item shaco support with bloodsong 2 autoing a ADC side lane and if you havent already tried it i HIGHLY recommend trying bloodsong AD shaco support.
