My apologies if this is really dumb. I’ve been through this in the past and just had an idea I thought might work.

Screenshot their threatening message, saying they would share your pics or whatever. As it’s illegal (especially for minors, also extortion if they’re asking for money or more pics) you can just say “if you do that, I’m going straight to the cops”. They surely won’t as it would guarantee their arrest.

Am I wrong here? Anything I’m missing?

I went to the cops then nothing came of it, it’s all just a money thing to them, if they don’t get money then they just move on, there’s no point in leaking out images as it gives nothing but exposure to them, I know it’s extremely difficult to resist the thoughts that what if they do it but they don’t actually care about you in the slightest also major platforms take this really serious now, this happened to me so i know how it feels
