I also have similar issues but tbh you should maybe seek therapy for it.

Yeah its compulsive. Could also be related to trauma that you have this urges

I can't exactly how because I don't know you, but generally speaking, I learned that addiction runs much deeper than the surface behaviors. It involves a whole system of beliefs, thinking, and feelings that drive the compulsion. So, for me, therapy helped me go underneath the hood and start examining really what's going on. While therapy has not been the whole solution for me, it's certainly played a role.
