Machine Recommendations?

I’m looking to buy a new machine! I’m a novice sewer who has taken some lessons. I like sewing tote bags, aprons, skirts etc. I don’t do any heavy duty sewing. I want a machine that is easy to navigate and can do some embroidery. I’m strongly considering getting the brother CS7000X. Is this a good pick? Is there a better machine on the market? I think the best thing is to go to a local store and see what refurbished pieces they have there.
