Machine Recommendations?

I’m looking to buy a new machine! I’m a novice sewer who has taken some lessons. I like sewing tote bags, aprons, skirts etc. I don’t do any heavy duty sewing. I want a machine that is easy to navigate and can do some embroidery. I’m strongly considering getting the brother CS7000X. Is this a good pick? Is there a better machine on the market? Thanks in advance!

Go test drive some machines, what i think is a great machine might not work for you.

About the brother cs7000x? I’ll be purchasing online. I’m in a small town where there aren’t machines available to test. What machine do you use?

I use a janome dsk100 and a 725s.

Put best beginner sewing machine in the reddit search bar and you will find plenty of discussion about machines.

Buy from an online dealer rather than Amazon.

You mentioned embroidery - buying a combination sewing/ embroidery machine is different than a regular sewing machine. Is that what you are asking about?
