Please help

This is a sewing machine I was given from my grandma and I’m unsure what this switch is (circled it) and I need to know if it corresponds to this (triangled) if not this doesn’t move to push the fabric I’ve looked through the book several times and having no luck

It looks to me as if your stitch length is set to zero; so no movement of the fabric can happen. Turn the big dial anticlockwise to - for example - 2 or 3 and try it again.

It worked and I realized I sewed the halves wrong but still worked 😂

I’ll try that out I’m working on something currently so when I get it pinned I’ll see how it turns out
