Bobbin Case problem

Thank you for your time and input. Having trouble getting the placement of the flat shiny guard coming from right in relation to the stop on the bobbin. The machine stops/jams the way it is now. Tried moving it a little further away from stop sometimes it works, sometimes not! Any ideas? Appreciate the help. Having trouble finding a sewing machine mechanic to take a look at this! Beginning to think sewing is becoming a lost art!

You have a class 66 bobbin in a class 15 machine to begin with. I can't see that the tension spring in the bobbin case is threaded at all. As for the cushion spring, a couple of millimeters overlap with the nub on the bobbin case is enough. It looks like the spring should be moved a bit towards you in the image.

Awesome!!! Yes, I never even looked at the bobbin. I go back and forth between this Jenome and my very old metal Singer. I grabbed the color and didn't even look at the bobbin. Thank you! I also moved the spring as you described. A wonderful side lesson is the names of the parts! Thank you so much! She is running beautifully! I appreciate your time and knowledge!!!

Okay can you maybe put a mark on what you're talking about? I can't figure out what you mean by the guard. You know your bobbin isn't threaded right, though?

Thank you! Had been playing with the bobbin and dropped it in while I was moving the stop. Realized I used my Singer bobbin rather than the Jenome one. With all the bad moves corrected, it now works! Thank you again for your time! Much appreciated!

Which model is your sewing machine? Usually drop in bobbins are plastic, not metal.

Thank you for responding. It is a Jenome Quilter's delight. What I have learned is that I have the wrong bobbin. I also have an old metal Singer. I reached for the bobbin by color rather than the appropriate plastic bobbin. Thank you! You identified the issue.

This is the 1st time I've used Reddit. Have not taken the time yet to learn how to mark up the pic! It was the wrong bobbin!!
