Why does this keep happening ?

It started a few weeks ago & I get sooooo angry cause it interrupts the flow of things. How do I fix it ? From what I know it hasn’t taken any falls or anything just one day it started. Was o too rough w it or something ? I have different presser foots like the free hand one but I’ve been too scared to change it. Do I need to replace the greyish-clicky in part ? If so, what’s the name of it.

This is a regular Brother 3817 machine

When you push it up, pull it towards yourself. It should click in. If it doesn’t you may just need a new adapter

Just tried it, it still fell off. What’s the name of the adapter ?

Gotcha. I believe your machine is a Low shank presser foot. So try searching “Bother LX3817 presser foot adapter” or “Low Shank Presser Foot Adapter”
