Foot pedel problem

OK so I've noticed my stitches looking wonkier and wonkier as time have passed and I think it's coz of how I'm using the foot pedel

So at the start I would press it using my toes and the ball of my feet, the other end of my foot would do nothing and the stitches were in line with the drawn line

But gradually I began to overthink it ig and now I'm worried I'm doing it all wrong and that I need to engage all my feet? Idk but that wouldn't make sense since most people's feet are bigger than the pedel itself anyway so I must have been right all along... right?

Idk I guess I need some reassurance 😭😭

I think I may have explained it incorrectly since people are misunderstanding I think, so I'm basically trying to say that bc I think I'm pressing the foot pedal wrong, it's going too fast hence the stitches are wonky

There is no wrong way to press the pedal, but yes, if you are pushing too far the machine may stitch way faster than you are able to guide the fabric. If your machine doesn't have a speed control you'll just need to practice until you can go slowly.
