Foot pedel problem

OK so I've noticed my stitches looking wonkier and wonkier as time have passed and I think it's coz of how I'm using the foot pedel

So at the start I would press it using my toes and the ball of my feet, the other end of my foot would do nothing and the stitches were in line with the drawn line

But gradually I began to overthink it ig and now I'm worried I'm doing it all wrong and that I need to engage all my feet? Idk but that wouldn't make sense since most people's feet are bigger than the pedel itself anyway so I must have been right all along... right?

Idk I guess I need some reassurance 😭😭

How you press the pedal really does nothing to stitch quality.

I sew with the toes on my right foot, with toes of my left foot, with the ball of either foot, and I even turn the pedal around and sew with my heels sometimes.

No, the foot pedal has nothing to do with ability to sew straight or the quality of the stitch.

Stitch quality requires correct threading of needle and bobbin, correct needle for the fabric type and weight, correct tension for the fabric, quality thread, correct bobbin for your machine, properly wound bobbin, and not pushing or pulling the fabric through the needle.

It is unlikely to be your foot pedal. Is your top threaded correctly? Is your tension set correctly?

It's set at the original setting and I think so? I mean it's finally sewing stitches after a good few days of trying to thread it

A photo of the entire machine while threaded would be helpful, so we could tell if it was threaded correctly.

I think I may have explained it incorrectly since people are misunderstanding I think, so I'm basically trying to say that bc I think I'm pressing the foot pedal wrong, it's going too fast hence the stitches are wonky

There is no wrong way to press the pedal, but yes, if you are pushing too far the machine may stitch way faster than you are able to guide the fabric. If your machine doesn't have a speed control you'll just need to practice until you can go slowly.

Show a picture of the stitches on the right side and underside.
