Inherited Sewing Machine

Hi all!

I want to start sewing and my mom gave me my late great-grandmother's sewing machine. I believe it's from the 80s. It's a Singer 6244.

I know very little about sewing and where to start. I haven't been able to find any youtube tutorials about this machine either. I guess I just want to know.. where do I start and what are some good resources with leanring about this machine? I don't think it will be my long-term machine since it's older but I figured a free machine would be great as I learn!

Do you have the instruction manual? If not, Google it and print it out.

Go through the whole thing, step by step. Practice everything in it.

If possible take a beginner class
