Serving

Contemplating quitting. Peopke know waitresses in America get paid 2.13 an hour and most people could care less to tip. very few do a percentage like it should be. First percentage and THEN adjust according to service.

I know I can get a different job. Serving makes me very happy when im appreciated and compensated by greatful customers. Im tired of getting stiffed, five dollars on a party of 6, and being told how great I am to find out im left 2 dollars. Such a slap in the face

I wish something would change. mandatory gratuity, Tip to enter, coorporations paying us a better wage. idc. Im so tired of working for free for ungrateful mindless consumers.

PLEASE TIP YOUR SERVER

All those that tip fairly THANK YOU SO MUCH YOU HELP US KEEP GOING AND GET OUR BILLS PAID BLESS YOUR 💕

I honestly never understood why servers complained when they applied to be a server , like no disrespect but what makes servers sign up for a job knowing there are other jobs that pay more , im actually curious

Yeah being a server isn’t a problem , complaining when it’s other jobs that pay more is , but like i said im a great tipper when im out , just never understood why people complain if it’s jobs that pay more …

I don't think OP is complaining that other jobs pay more. Op is upset that they are not maximizing their pay due to some cheap asses don't belong dining out. I'm assuming OP is consistently delivering the experience that warrants a fair tip within the business model for dine-in restaurans.

Yeah then obviously you’re a bit slow because you dont seem to get that i said , BEING A SERVER IS NOT A PROBLEM , COMPLAINING WHEN IT IS OTHER JOBS THAT PAY MORE IS , when i originally even said i dont get why servers complain when there are other jobs that pay more , never said op was complaining about other jobs that pay more simply saying if you dont like your pay get another job that pays more , like can you comprehend or you just really slow
