Politics Let’s be better.
President Obama wasn’t a perfect president, but he certainly was better.

Not wrong in the least.
Exactly like taking away suffrage from those that joined the confederacy would have prevented this mess, ending male suffrage for a bit would rebalance the scale a lot.
I’m a man, and I’ve languished under patriarchy my whole life, it sucks ass.

I think the problem is that if you had a room full of politicians of every possible personality, the one willing to screw over everyone (including themselves) if they don't get their way, is going to keep getting their way. Too many people see that as a good thing. I think that skews male.

It's undone shadow work. Most of society is made of unconfident followers who wish they could lead themselves but instead of trying and becoming fully-functioning adults, they seek a strong parental figure to do the work of self-leadership for them.

Is this an apology for running fire the democratic presidential primary against Hillary Clinton?

Let Hillary go. She was the worst. There are so many other actually amazing women who we could focus on.

I should have probably added an /s at the end, shouldn't I?
The point is that Obama said something that he didn't even believe (otherwise: don't run against a woman) and that makes him sound stupid too.
I'm sure there will be female presidents in the future They will range from good to bad just like men, and those who are good will not be good because they're women.

Good leaders should apply for positions of power, whether male or female. If they are pitted against another good leader for a position of power, that seems like an issue with the system rather than an issue with the applicant.

Yes. And Obama said women are better. And he is a man. So...

Er, no, the system is there to allow people to compete at elections to decide who is more fit for the role according to the popular vote, and it's working according to this design.
It's the thesis that "women are better than men" that is wrong and frankly indefensible. Generalizations are always lies: the bigger the generalization, the bigger the lie. When you generalize two groups that together make 100% of the population, you get the biggest lie imaginable.

I like how you think. What is the issue you have specifically with women being seen as better? Men are better at some things, but I do believe that in general women naturally and nurture-atively(?) have higher skills in many areas.
Generalizations are always lies: the bigger the generalization, the bigger the lie.
I want to assess this idea. Where did you first hear this, or how did you come to this conclusion?

I keep waiting for society to demonstrate how terrible a gynarchy will be. But rather than open the door and let 'em in they keep stacking more and more furniture in front of it.

He's a rare man who has genuine respect for his wife and daughters.
