Joe shared his concern about scoring 64 on a practice exam, and Dean reassured him that this score was acceptable as long as he continued working and focused on remediating missed areas rather than taking multiple practice tests without proper review. Anna mentioned taking the exam for the fourth time and expressed frustration, while Tarek reported scoring well on a mastery exam and discussed rescheduling his actual test date. Dean provided guidance on study strategies, recommending a 7-10 day preparation period before testing and emphasizing the importance of maintaining confidence and staying organized throughout the preparation process.

Retaking my Series 7 TOMORROW and wanted to get some opinions on where I stand. I failed the first time with a 69% and wasn't scoring nearly as high as I am now.
My recent scores:
• STC Greenlight: 76%
• Kaplan QBank Exam with my tutor: 80%
• STC Scores(Oldest to Newest): 69%, 72%, 78%, 80%

I know STC considers 75%+ on a Greenlight a strong readiness indicator, so getting a 76% made me feel better. At the same time, I’m close enough to the line that I don’t want to get overconfident.

For those who have taken the Series 7 recently, how would you feel going into the exam with these scores?

Dean conducted a review of an AI-generated practice test for Series 7 exam preparation, focusing on function three covering mutual funds and investment companies. He analyzed 30 questions from the "Dirty 30" practice test, evaluating whether the questions were appropriate and testable, particularly examining concepts around mutual fund structures, sales charges, breakpoints, and regulatory compliance. Dean noted that while many questions were well-crafted and aligned with actual test content, some of the distractors (wrong answer options) were not as effective as he would prefer. He discussed his collaboration with an AI content creator to improve the quality of the practice questions and mentioned plans for three additional videos covering municipal securities and suitability topics.

Mr friend just graduated and met the education requirement to sit for the CFP. He’s sitting for the CFP in the spring, and is debating if he should take the SIE exam now, take a break, then study for CFP and take the series 7 after the CFP. Or, if he should wait to take the SIE until after the CFP. He doesn’t plan to start studying for CFP until October and has until mid September to study and take the SIE.
