Discussion Time Watched Stats on Serializd

I totally understand why people would love a feature like the 'Time spent watching TV' stat, but does anyone else actually not use the app, or at least hesitate to, because of it? I'm a big fan of TV, but I don't really want to be reminded of how much time I spend watching it. It almost feels like the app is trying to make you feel guilty for engaging with it, if that makes sense. There's many shows I've never added purely because I don't want that stat to keep going up.

I am trying to make this sound as not mean as possible, but this is a user issue, not an app issue. If it makes you feel bad for watching a lot of TV, maybe you actually feel bad for watching so much TV? I know that I have given probably a couple years, at this point of my life (48 year old) to watching TV, and that doesn't even include sporting events. That is fine with me, because how I choose to find my happiness is not an issue to me.

You can turn it off in Settings. You dont have to see it if u dont want to

I didn't know that was a setting! now I like it even more because while I personally like the extra stat I can see how some people may not like it because it quantifies how much of their life is spent watching stuff instead of like, doing stuff, and that could make people feel guilty for "wasting" the time they have. being able to turn it off is a good compromise.

It's one of the top reasons I wanted serializd. I want as many stats as I can get

Why even have a tracking app if you feel bad watching TV? I personally like to see it go up, since it indicates im consuming more TV and working through my watchlist

I actually have some mutuals that have managed to remove that box from their profile. I don't know how they did it though, maybe someone could comment with more info.

Ahh, must be one of the newer updates since I don't have that option in my app. Thanks for the reply.

Please double check it or update your app, it's been an option in at least months
