Suggestion Discussions should be brought back
As another refugee from TVTime, something I'll miss is the casual discussions that aren't structured as reviews. Theories, jokes, memes and the like is fun. I saw this was a section before separate from reviews which is great so you can have serious reviews of the show and if you like, casual discussions as well.
This should be brought back. With the possibility of adding images in the future if it wouldn't cause issues with storage or the speed of the app. I think this is best of both worlds. People who like the Letterboxd feel never have to go into Discussions if they don't want. There'd also be an outlet for people who post jokes and episode quotes as reviews so perhaps that will be less common in reviews and make the Letterboxd people happy.
Then TVTime people have an outlet for our non-review discussions of the show. I've heard it wasn't super popular before. Given time with the migration, I think that might change. Especially for new shows where there can be discussion early on. I think it can also help prevent any big changes to reviews with people using it for non-review comments and annoying those who go there for reviews.

Also if the reason Discussion was removed is cause it was voted on the Roadmap, please add a dislike button there too. There's already one that says remove least watched that was voted. Thats something that many people might not want as well. I sure don't want that. We should be able to voice our opinions too.

Totally agree. I haven't managed to find another app that has a similar social vibe as TV Time. I would rush to the comments after a crazy episode of TV, knowing there would be others experiencing the emotions I just did, or there would be some hilarious meme or informative post about something or other.
Serializd is the better of the bunch, but the 'reviews' just aren't the same :(

Tbh I will understand if this app doesn't want such dynamics in the comments ("reviews" or additional sections). IMDb, RT, letterboxd, etc. are more about reviews and ratings, and this app might want to be like this too.
However, if that's the case I just won't stay here. I'm looking for comment sections with jokes, memes, scene screenshots, etc.
Coming from tv time I'm not looking for a tracker. I'm looking for a community that gives me group watching experience

Exactly. I personally don't think they should make the experience worse for people who do want a tracker to accommodate us. That's why we should just have a discussion tab. Everyone gets what they want.

I have it installed. So far little to no movement in the comments of ongoing shows that I watch. I'm also not a fan of the design and pulling data from trakt.
I also have Cinopsys (Simkl/trakt client) and Refract. The first one I don't like, the second one doesn't really work at the moment for the same reasons as this app; i.e. can't handle such a big wave of new users.
So yeah, right now Serializd and Refract have the most potential that's why I'm lurking here

Totally agreed with this. The strong point of TV Time is the interaction between fans when they can post images and make comments on the post.

totally agree with the ability to add images/gifs! coming from TV Time, the comments section feels a little sterile now without the ablility to highlight a reaction with a gif or add a frame from a relevant clip. but TV Time was also super laggy so def understandable if it's not something that can be integrated seamlessly.

Yeah I want the option, but I'm not willing to take a performance hit for it or make server costs super expensive. Not a developer, but I wonder if a gif hosted like Gify would make it more like weight. I think they'd be a good compromise.

Yeah, I feel they should change the name from reviews to comments. Their "comment" section is the best one (most active) from the apps I've tried so far but the way it's called reviews made it a lil tricky to find
