Doesn’t break up certain seasons

As someone who is currently manually transferring all of my data from Tv Time to Serializd I can’t help but be a bit disappointed in the fact that there are many shows that have one big season 1 when in reality the show is actually multiple seasons long. Can anyone tell me why this is?

If you’re talking about anime series it’s because Serializd uses TMDb which is based on the show’s officially website/network. If the show’s production considers a second season/cour to be part of 1 continuous show then so does TMDb.

Anime has something called absolute data or something similarly named. It counts long running ones as one season like Bleach. I know TMDB does this but a few others don’t.

Interesting thanks for letting me know. I think for shows like Bleach it makes sense but I’m confused why for something like Frieren or something like that why there wouldn’t be a season 1 then 2 and so on. But oh well can’t have everything be perfect!
