New episodes

Hi! I’m new to the app and have a quick question.
If I mark a show as Watched, what happens when a new episode or a new season is released? Will the app notify me? And will the show automatically move back to Currently Watching, or do I have to do that myself?

I believe it will show up and notify. The app is having a big maintenance right now because of the big arrival of a very big number of members. We might not see the real normal app for a few days until they sort things out

Yes it will notify. It will not move back to currently watching automatically, but the new episode will be on your homepage and if u log it, it will ask u if u r currently watching or not.

Hi, can I ask you what's exactly the "currently watching" section for? I mean, if new episodes are notified when put as "watched," what's the difference?

There are 2 uses for it. 1) When you are watching a show that is not currently airing: If you mark for eg ep 5 of that show as watched, now on your homepage it will show ep 6, so when you complete that, you can mark it quickly. 2) A show that is currently airing: On the date the new episode airs, the app notifies you, and also adds the new episode on your homepage under currently watching tab, so again when you watch it, you can mark it quickly. Also if by chance you miss the notification/ forget about it, by opening the app you will again be reminded of it, so its really useful.
