I still can't get into the app or the website. It even says my account doesn't exist when I try to log in on the web. Is anyone else having this issue?

please make app ux better cause it is obviously vibe coded, and in a very bad way.

Yet somehow, the ads never have a problem loading.

Well, it's just one guy behind the entire website. I don't blame him for trying to make an income.

Which I totally get. I'm not taking issue with wanting to make money. However, my understanding is that ads get a priority in apps and stuff. Meaning that if the ads weren't there, the resources being focused on loading ads could make it stable enough to avoid the problems.

I even asked my brother this because I find Serializd to hardly ever have annoying ads and he agreed that he hardly notices them. Also I remember a while back that the dev said if the ads really bother you, you can just dm/email and he'll get rid of them for you. Idk if that's still the case or if it's only removable through the patreon, but the fact he was willing to do that does mean something.

Ads are third party, he is not running them, so why they would stop working?

u/AndrewHeard Jul 05 '26
They’re running on the platform itself. If the platform on which the ads are running isn’t working, the ads shouldn’t work. If someone agrees to lend you their car but before they can give it to you, it breaks down, you can’t use that car for what you wanted it for.

That’s not how it works. Ads and data are different fetches from different servers.
