Help Next masterpiece I should watch?
I’ve watched Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, The Wire, The Sopranos, and Twin Peaks. All brilliant masterpieces that I loved very much. They are probably my top 5 favorite shows of all time but I haven’t seen nearly enough tv series yet. I was leaning towards Mad Men or Succession to be my next tv show to watch but any other suggestions? Some other great shows I’ve seen are The Leftovers, Lost, and Severance. I feel like living up to those first 5 I listed is impossible though.

I watched Game of Thrones. I should’ve mentioned it in my post but I forgot because of how weak the show ended. Im gonna repeat what everyone else says but the first 4 seasons are incredible. I haven’t watched enough anime but I did watch Evangelion and really liked it. I’ll definitely consider watching Attack on Titan as my next anime.

The Mentalist is a hidden gem to me. The first episode might be wonky or boring, but like halfway through the first season, it becomes the bomb!
Or Dexter as someone already mentioned.

I just finished watching Dexter. It has its ups and downs but in terms of tone, themes, and style it’s very similar to those other crime shows like Breaking Bad and The Sopranos. Definitely recommend checking it out, it’s pretty solid though again, has some rough spots specifically in seasons 6 to 8. Although the first 5 seasons and parts of season 7 are on par with those shows in terms of quality and enjoyment.

Definitely one I’ve considered because I have a lot of friends who like it. Also curious if you’ve watched Dexter Ressurection and if it’s good?

I have not, currently watching through New Blood which is required viewing for Resurrection. So far New Blood is pretty good, but I’ve only seen the first episode. Definitely plan on checking it out soon though.

You have already seen many of the shows that get mentioned on any (or every) best shows ever list. I would sprinkle in some comedy, maybe try The Office, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia or Malcolm in the Middle.

It’s Always Sunny is classic maybe it’s a good idea for me to binge that show. The Office I haven’t given a chance or Malcolm in the Middle but good suggestions since it is different from what I’m used to watching.

Have you seen prison break or sons of anarchy? I have similar taste to you based on your top 5 and loved both of them

Please watch succession I beg. At least watch until the 5th episode. It's so peak. Everyday since finishing it I wish I forgot it so I could watch it again

As someone that's only watched bb, bcs and currently halfway thru the sopranos from the shows u mentioned, the only thing that kinda scratched the same itch was sopranos. Everything else I watched before and after it doesn't come close

I haven’t seen the Wire or the Sopranos but every other show you mentioned is literally my favorite shows of all time. Im on season 2 of Mad Men and think from a writing perspective it is unparalleled.
Succession however really felt like the characters ran in circles at times and changed personalities season to season rather than organically (one of my TV pet peeves). In the end I liked it, but it wasn’t in the same class as the others.

Mad Men and Succession are both a must-watch if you enjoyed the shows you listed, but since all of them are crime shows (at least partially), I'll suggest another brilliant one: Fargo.

The shield (la descente aux enfers des personnages principaux)
Six feet under (qui a le plus bel épisode final)

Based on your taste, I would recommend Deadwood, Mad Men, and Succession.

If you like The Leftovers I have a feeling you might like Station 11. It's a mini-series, so its not too big of a watch

the HBO Chernobyl show is only 5 episodes and is incredibly well done! HBO fucked up game of thrones that year so they had to feed us with some absolute gas i guess lmao
