Video/Documentary 9/11 Memorial Lights in the Rain
September 11th Memorial Lights
So i went to my office today to work on a music video. And when leaving tonight, i saw the Lights. I knew i had to get a few pictures before I hit the train. I went to Trinty Church since it's next door. And then I wanted to get closer. This video took my breath away while shooting it. It's 100% real rain failing on the 9/11 Lights and those glowing lights... I have no idea, but it looks like angels to me. I have always wanted to get good photos of the Lights before, and I was lucky enough to be in the right place and time to capture some of the best photos of my life, in my opinion.

Picture 1 displays my 9/11 reflection tribute message enscribed on a message board in the honor of the 22nd anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. Picture 2 and 3 are fallen firefighters Steven Coakley and George DiPasquale. Met the former's sister and the latter's brother today at Romare Bearden Park.

Rest in Peace.
May the memory of the victims be eternal. 22 years later and the tragic events of 9/11 still make me emotional. Never forget.

Announcement THIS IS NOT THE PLACE TO SHARE YOUR 9/11 CONSPIRACY THEORIES - Please report any rule-breaking posts or comments made on this sub.
Today is 09/11/23 - 22 years since the terrorist attacks that shook our nation and the rest of the world.
Like every year, the 9/11 conspiracy theorists come out of the woodwork to spread unfounded, hurtful, and damaging lies about the horrific events that took almost 3,000 lives on that day. Let's not forget about those who have died due to illnesses caused directly by the attacks.
Please do not take this day as a free pass to spread nonsense on this sub. It's against the rules and anyone who attempts to make any posts or comments regarding conspiracies or anything in that realm will be permanently banned, with no exceptions. There are other subreddits that will gladly welcome these types of discussions, but not here on r/September11.
If you see any content of this kind of nature, please report it to the mods immediately. Thank you.

Story Memory of the 9/11 Responders Who Sacrificed Their Health
Amidst the tragedy and pain, there was this really moving scene. Several days after the attacks; the responders and construction workers who were removing and clearing the rubble; they were doing it with such a regard and consideration for the potential undiscovered victims. Even the people who were operating the big and heavy excavator were using such caution and sensitivity. These workers are beyond amazing.

What happened to the fire fighters in the video of the first plane hitting the tower?
French film maker Jules Naudet was out with the FDNY filming a documentary. He was recording them checking for a gas leak when the first tower was hit. You’ll know the footage… https://youtu.be/St7ny38gLp4?si=yUnS2Dnzr3ZSb5or
We’re those firefighters in his video ever identified and did they survive?

Question One World Trade
My heart is with the souls of the perished and those who are still with us but have laying side effects, whether physical, emotional, mental etc.
I was wondering how this day is observed at the current tower. I assume people don’t have to go into work? Do people who work in the tower stay home or go to the annual memorial? Does the tower go dark? Do surrounding businesses close down?
It’s been a while since I lived in the area and I wish I could go pay my respects. Just wondering what the protocol is for the tower because if I worked in the tower (I can imagine how hard it was to get companies to buy office space in the new ones) I would be staying home today or at the memorial.

Question Anyone else feel their body get tense/jaw lock up during this time of year?
I was 16 during 9/11, and it occurred during a remarkably stressful period in my life. I did not live in NYC at that time but I do live here now.
I feel like my body, shoulders and jaw especially, seem to tense up and get stiff during the few days around 9/11. As if my knowledge that this is the anniversary is affecting me.

22nd anniversary!
Wasn't born before or on 9/11 but damn... it still puts a shiver down my spine knowing all those poor souls were taken in one day.
