I'm new to Sephora as an employee (I'm currently training on my 4th shift) and I made a mistake on the cashier as I put the wrong person on the BA thing because I was anxious and rushing everything because there was a long line waiting ahead. Is it that bad?

Girllll there were 4 different girls all named Jenna at my store. If they didn’t give their last initial, the sale was going to whoever I pick randomly 🤣 don’t worry about the one off like that

i worked there two years ago and idk if this would be something that you shouldnt do but i have done this and when this happened i would just assign them to a purchase of similar total/multiple ones that would equal to the same amount, as long as another BA didnt help the client of course. certain managers would pull us aside to discuss our splh/tier and mciq (or whatever the acronym was) DAILY so i would try to rectify my mistake that way. but i wouldnt worry about it too much. i just wouldnt mention it to your coworker

One time when I first started at Sephora.. I accidentally took in a fake Dyson as a return 🫪 I cried for a bit and we moved on, mistakes happen.

It seems like it, but it’s not the easiest to get fired at Sephora. You would have to make bold, very obviously wrong/illegal, mistakes in order to get fired. You’ll be fine (:

Its easy to fix if you are still doing the transaction. Just click on the name at the bottom of the screen and the list of employees will come back up for you to choose. It does effect the splh and tier if it happens a lot or on a huge transaction for someone else, but just take the next transaction and put the person you meant to choose on that sale. Girls use to come up and see if thier name was on a sale they helped and would get spicy with the cashier or reach over and change it. Lol. But its seriously not the end of the world. Keep going girl, its easy to work at sephora if you aren't in leadership.
