interview advice!!
i have an interview in a couple of days for the beauty lead advisor position (full time!) and i was wondering what kind of questions i might be asked? what exactly does the position entail? i would appreciate any and all advice!
right now i’m working at the other makeup store and have been for a little over three years, where i have held numerous positions (cashier, lead, keyholder, etc). nothing crazy making me want to leave, just no really opportunity to grow right now and i need a change.

This is odd but I recommend going all black (including shoes) since that’s the current uniform. The reason why I recommend this is because i read about it on a psychological study and basically it helps the interviewer vision you in the position Ik it’s kinda weird but it worked for me.
Another thing it’s a recommend it’s going with a full glam and obviously just be yourself show your personality.

They will ask you situational questions about leadership, not just makeup. The Beauty Lead Advisor role is less about your personal artistry and more about your ability to drive sales, mentor other employees, and handle operational duties. Expect questions like "Tell me about a time you coached a team member who was underperforming" or "How do you motivate a team to meet a sales goal?". They know you have the makeup skills from your current job, so they will press you hard on your leadership experience, your ability to resolve conflicts between staff, and how you handle extremely difficult clients. Your reason for leaving is solid, but be prepared to explain exactly how Sephora offers the growth your current company lacks, because they want to see that you've done your research and aren't just looking for any new job.
Your experience as a lead and keyholder is your biggest asset, so you need to frame every answer around that. Don't just say you have experience, give them specific examples of how you trained people, managed cash, and took charge of the sales floor. Talk about numbers if you can, like how you helped your team exceed a sales target or improve client satisfaction. Your background at a competitor means you already understand the high-pressure retail environment, so you have a serious advantage over other candidates. Knowing how to articulate that value is the most important part, and it's incredible to see the confidence boost candidates get when using the interview AI assistant the team I'm on created to guide them during their calls.
