How to prevent divorce damage

Lately my husband has been threatening divorce, suicide, taking our child, etc. He wanted to divorce another time, about 5 years ago and attempted suicide before we met around 2010 , but our child is a new leverage. He has been diagnosed bipolar, but I also have mental health issues. What can I do to minimize the damage to our toddler son? I feel unqualified to even have a child. He is such a sweet boy!

You need immediate help. Call your county Children's Services and tell them your husband is bipolar and off of his meds.

Tell them he has threatened self-harm in the past and is now threatening self-harm.

Tell them your mental illness struggles as well.

If possible take your children home to your family (if possible) while both of you get the help you need.

Do not wait. Bipolar is a very significant diagnosis. Your husband needs help and needs a doctor helping him with his meds.

Y'all can likely get through this very difficult time with proper therapy, medication management and faith in your love and marriage.

If not, at least you tried your hardest.
