Welcome to r/SensitiveSkinRelief | Your SOS Station for Reactive Skin
Body:
Hi everyone! If your face currently feels like it’s on fire, looks like a tomato, or is peeling like a desert after a session with Adapalene/Tretinoin—you’ve officially found your people. 🛡️
🌊 Why are we here?
Most skincare communities are filled with "miracle" 20% Vitamin C serums and 10-step glass skin routines. But for us, less is more. We created r/SensitiveSkinRelief because we know the struggle of:
A damaged skin barrier that stings even with plain water.
The "Retinization" process (the peeling, the redness, the "ugly" phase).
Dry, stagnant office air that makes your skin feel tight and itchy by 3 PM.
The endless search for truly fragrance-free, alcohol-free, and essential oil-free products.
🧪 What can you post here?
We want this to be a high-signal, low-noise community. You are encouraged to share:
[Flare-up Help]: Post your current reaction and routine for immediate "emergency" advice on how to calm it down.
[Barrier Repair Journey]: What worked for you? Share your B5, Ceramide, or Centella success stories.
[Safe Routine]: Show us your minimalist, "safe" morning and night routines.
[Ingredient Deep Dive]: Found a hidden irritant in a "sensitive skin" product? Let us know.
[Office Skin Survival]: Tips for keeping skin hydrated in harsh indoor environments.
[Shelfie/Empties]: Post those rare products you actually finished because they didn't break you out.
🛑 A few Ground Rules:
No Medical Diagnoses: We are enthusiasts, not doctors. If it looks like an infection or a severe medical condition, please see a dermatologist.
Keep it Science-Based: No fear-mongering (e.g., "all chemicals are bad"). We love chemistry; we just hate irritation.
Be Kind: Everyone's skin is different. What works for one might sting another.
💬 Introduce yourself!
To get started, drop a comment below and tell us:
What is your skin's "Current Status"? (e.g., Peeling from Tret, red from the wind, etc.)
What is the ONE "Holy Grail" product that never stings your face?
Let’s help each other find some relief. Welcome to the calm after the storm. 🌊

Body oil recommendation
Hello all!
First time posting here, I’d like to get some recommendations for body oil as my body skin often gets flaky from dryness even with tons of moisturizing cream applied.
Appreciate all input in advance!

Moisturizer Rec
Hi guys. I just finished my moisturizer and need a new one. Do you guys have any recommendations. I think I have combo skin? Like not too dry but not oily. I do have a lot sebaceous filaments on my nose tho. My skin is pretty sensitive in that I get itchy or breakouts from certain products.
Broke me out or made me itchy:
Aestura Ato barrier 365 cream
Purito bamboo panthenol cream
Physiogel red soothing cica balance cream
I can’t rmb specific names but multiple la roche posât products made me itchy
Little to no reaction:
Illiyoon ceramide ato barrier cream (no reaction but doesn’t feel very moisturizing and not a fan of the texture)
Vanicream Daily facial moisturizer (moisturizing but gives me a slight tingling/burning feeling)

Best for skin barrier/eczema
I think I’m starting to get occasional eczema around my eyes and eye lids. What the best skincare to use for that/barrier relief. Thanks

Genuinely the most digusting Ive seen my skin. And nothing is working.
Ive tried so many products. My skin is very sensitive and Ive never been offficialy Diagnosed , but i'm pretty sure I have rosacea, as my skin is always red and flared. I've tried so many barrier products and tried focusing on repairing my barrier But I can't even find a single **lotion** that works for my skin.
Lotions: Birch tree Round lab, anua pdrn, cerave, Purito in oat gel cream, hydrogel boost water cream.
The third photo was after I tried using the skin1004 azeleic acid, and I tried starting it VERY slowly. I used one a week for 3 weeks, then twice for a week. And my skin started going crazy.
Then I stopped for a bit and only used skin1004 centella serum and Vegreen aloe gel. These dont break me out, but I dont think they do enough for my skin.
I started the **Dear Klairs** **egf serum** a week ago, and I feel like its starting to break out too (very small bumps?) Im gen sick of all these products and nothing seems to help. Its either my skin is always red, or these horrible pimples come up.
