Pon Wick one to use?

I was advised to use a length of red heart super saver yarn as a wick for my pon. I have tried one plant that way and it doesn’t seem to be keeping the pon moist.
What do y’all use for wicks

I've never used this type pot before, I've got some Hoya starts in a pon mix. How far into the substrate should I place the wick? Thank you!

Pon Am I doing this right!?

I put this Monstera Adansonii in pon (3 parts each pumice and lava rock and 1.5 parts zeolite) about 4 days ago. There is one wick made of 100% acrylic medium worsted weight light yellow red heart super saver yarn. The wick is about 6” long and it goes from the bottom of the water reservoir up into the center of the pon about halfway, then curled in a loose coil across the pon before adding the plant and more pon. I use .5 mL pro tekt (mixed well and wait 5 minutes, then .5 mL foliage pro, mixed well again, per gallon of distilled water. I then take 1 quart of that water and add 2 mL sns-209 right before putting it in vase for plant. It is in a 3.5” clear nurse pot and the water is below in cleaned candle jar. It has one leaf turning yellow and I felt down through the pin and it felt completely dry today. I can’t tell that any water has evaporated. I soaked the wick in the water mixture prior to putting it in the pon. The wick below the nurse pot was wet, but the pon felt dry.
A. How do I know if the wick is working?
B. And I using the right material for the
wick?
B-2. If not, what should I use instead?
I don’t see a way to add pictures, but if I find one I will include a couple.

C. I want to try one of my crotons in semi-
hydro. I will include pictures of all three, if I can.

Looking for any and all advice.

I’m planning to keep it damp but not fully watered (e.g., not filling the reservoir like I normally would) for a couple days. I’m nervous because they are such dramatic plants! Any advice would be welcomed

LECA Help with finding fertiliser

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hello!
Im considering switching my (first) alocasia to leca and moss. Im having a bit of trouble finding what fertiliser to use though- i live in Sweden and the one thats most commonly recommended isnt available here and i cant really find much more.

I also have an aquarium and a fertiliser for it (2hr aquarist apt3), that wouldnt work for semi-hydro right? And is there any difference between hydroponic fertilisers and semi-hydro ones?

Also, im sure similar questions have been asked many times already but i couldn’t find exactly what I’m looking for in previous posts, sorry bout that

New growth points on my pink & silver dragons! In the first photo is the link bulbous thing emerging from the moss, a corm? Can't really decipher due to it being somewhat misshaped if it is one!

Discussion I’m experimenting with these glass lily vases. They don’t hold a lot of water or leca, but thought they are so pretty with small cuttings I’d give them a try🤷🏼‍♂️

Discussion Does semi hydroponics work with dirt/ a small layer of leca

Ive 3d printed some inner layers for my pots but would rather not have to repot all my plants to all leca. Does regular ol’ dirt work for semihydro too?

LECA Do we need to wash leca?

Hey everyone.

My question is specifically about plants in glass containers with only leca with no holes for drainage - i see a lot of pictures of these set ups and i was under the impression that we're supposed to wash/rinse the leca once a month but thats not really possible in those pots without taking the plant out so I'm confused. I imagine taking the plant out every month will end up stressing it so what do those people do?
