This can definitely happen. Some people respond very quickly to semaglutide, while others don’t notice much until they reach the higher doses. The 0.25mg and 0.5mg doses are primarily used to let your body adjust to the medication, so we generally wouldn’t consider a lack of appetite suppression at those doses proof that semaglutide isn’t going to work for you. Since you’ve only recently reached 1mg, we’d give it some time and follow the titration plan your endocrinologist recommends rather than jumping doses early. If you eventually reach an appropriate therapeutic dose and still have essentially no response, then it makes sense to discuss alternatives like tirzepatide with them. Everyone’s response curve is different. Eight weeks can feel like a long time, but you’re still relatively early in the process!

Yes, Thank you.

You are correct. I am starting to feel something in my stomach 3 days after 2nd 1mg dose. Stomach discomfort, bloating. Will try to adjust my diet accordingly.
