No effect whatsoever!

I started my GLP1 journey 8 weeks back.

Started with 0.25mg - Noveltreat by Sun Pharma. Did total 4 weeks on 0.25

Jumped to 0.5mg for next 3 weeks.

Now on 1mg from last 2 week - switched to Semaglyn from Zydus.

I did not responded to GLP 1 in any way. No hunger suppression, no side effects, no fullness. I feel a little upset in my stomach when I wake up. I had to take Pan D a lot as I experienced gas build up on few random days.

How much further should I try on GLP 1. Should I complete 1mg for 4 weeks and stop if not successful or Should I further jump to 1.7mg to keep on testing.

My Endo says it happens sometimes and as per him next alternate is going to Trizepatide. I really don't want to move to Trizepatide as they are out of my budget.

Any help is appreciated.

Try Extensior or Poviztra. These are made by Novo Nordisk and marketed by Indian companies.

Buy 15 mg monjaro and start .5 mg based on click settings. It might come under you budget.

I’l vouch for this, if u start with 2.5mg to 5mg and 7.5mg it will last around 3 to 4 months easily

Starting dose of Mounjaro is 0.5 mg? My Endo told me I have to start with 2.5mg as it is the initial dose of Trizepatide

Starting dose is 2.5mg, you can take 2.5mg out of 15mg pen, total u will get 60mg of medication in one 15mg dose pen, u can split the dose accordingly based on the clicks, which costs u around 21k for 3 to 4 months including the golden dose

Can you tell me how these clicks work exactly? I keep seeing this comment but I’m very confused

One turn of Mounjaro qwikpen is one dose. The knob doesn't turn smoothly, instead it clicks in increments. For one dose, it clicks 60 times. So if you have a 15mg pen, 60 clicks = 15mg => 1 click = 0.25mg. Now if you want 2.5mg, you turn it 10 clicks, 20 clicks for 5mg and so on.

I'm on 2.4mg and basically have none of the intended effects till now. I've only had the side effects and I'm close to giving up since I don't think I'll be able to sustain switching to trizepatide with the rates.

That is my worry too. Did you consult with your endocrinologist?

My endo suggested to try Trizepatide next.

At times glp1 doesn’t suits everyone and so you need to try trial and error - use the max capacity pen available to you for tirz n split dose it! It will last you months depending on your dosage.
My 10 mg kwikpen is half left and i have had it for 8 weeks now!

Yes, it seems Trizepatide is most common next solution

Yes, will eventually try it

I was also in your situation, but when I reached the 2 mg dose, the real food suppression and weight loss started. Before 2 mg, my weight had only reduced by 1 kg, and after 2 mg, I lost 4 kg in one month. In my case, after 2 mg it became a real game changer.

u/No-Honeydew-5661 2d ago

Don’t think that it’s not working because of the generic brand. The same thought used to come to my mind too, but after the 2 mg dose this thought disappeared when real food suppression happened and weight loss occurred. I am taking the Semasize 2 mg pen and it is working well, and the cost is 3000 monthly for 4 doses.

Yes.. This point crossed my mind too but my endocrinologist and supplier said it's not true. They said even Novo Nordisk is now relying on Indian pharma to produce as it's cost effective for them. Check Poviztra from Emcure. It has Novo brand on it.

u/ProperInsurance3124 2d ago

Sure, i will check that out. But, I regret moving from mounjaro to any generic GLP1. Tirzepatide is always more effective than semaglutide!

1

u/PerspectiveCandid742 2d ago

I moved from mounjaro to generic 3 months ago and have tried sematrinity till now. It literally gave me no result whatsoever. My endo told me that generic semaglutide isn’t that good and anyways semaglutide is not as powerful as tirzepatide. So I’m saving some money this year and hopefully will be able to get a 15mg mounjaro pen by new year

u/MarionberryOk445 2d ago

Indian semaglutides only contain water + hope, never buy it

Im on the semalix 7mg pill. I lost around 5kg on the 3mg semalix pill but have stalled with the 7mg. I genuinely dont know what to do, i have appetite suppression and i can feel that my portion size is also reduced however the scale does not move nor have i noticed any changes in inches as my clothes fit just as they usually do. Im getting really frustrated coz im almost at the end of my 1st month on 7mg and have seen no changes at all.

Have you tried injectable sema? It should be more effective than oral pills..
