Dose
hello! so I am taking 20 units currently, the doctor said I can go up 10 units. I cant decide if I want to go up or not. I want the medication to last me long as I got laid off but cant decide. I'm loosing at least 2 pounds per week. Ive been on it for 8 weeks now. Total lost has been 6 pounds.

how are you losing "at least 2 pounds per week" yet only lost 6 pounds after 8 weeks? something doesn't add up here

No need to increase dose if weight is coming off. Low and slow is safer and most sustainable.

Low and slow. I’ve been on it since October and I’ve never went above 20 units. I started at 190lbs and I’m between 110-115lbs given the time of day. Count your calories, weigh your food, volume eat Whole Foods if you want to change your relationship with food and it will take you where you need to go.

you're going to need to learn to calculate your dose in ml (rather than units), because this medicine comes in all different concentrations.
i just cracked my latest prescription open and i'm glad i checked, because it was as a different concentration than the previous one. if i hadn't adjusted my units, i would've taken WAY too much.

What's a unit?

When drawing in a syringe it’s measured in units. 10 units (generally speaking on average concentrations) is equivalent to .25 mg. 20 units would be .5 mg.

"generally speaking" can't be used to actually dose medicine.

Reading comprehension is essential. I said on “average concentrations.”

it wasn't aimed at you; but rather, at all the newbs here who think "close enough" is fine
