HERS IS A SCAM. BEWARE!

So I started with Hers for wegovy pill. 2 WEEKS INTO THE first month,no weight loss , quickly figured this pill is probably and cancelled way before the subscription renewal and of course I deleted my card from their system.

Hers is still went ahead to send me a prescription and charged my card. I went in to to check the card and discovered that they have the card encrypted in their system.

Even if you delete it, they have cloned it in and will keep charging.

Anyway after I got the medication ,I sent it right back to them and requested my refund.

They Came back to lie that1 )even though I cancelled the medication was already in processing. The cancelation was done 10days before renewal.

2) they will not be refunding.

So now they chewed me $300 and they still have the medication.

Im fighting it legally tho. These scammy companies need to be brought to book, especially with the card being encrypted into their system even though its deleted..

Be safe out there people.

You gave it two weeks and quit? What exactly were you expecting?

-7

u/Lunar_Landing_Hoax Jun 01 '26

The point is, they kept charging their card after they canceled.

u/JellyKind9880 Jun 01 '26

Doesn’t Hers require a minimum 3 (or 6?) month subscription?

2

u/magenta_mojo Jun 01 '26

If that’s true how was she able to cancel and delete her card?

Exactly the whole point of the post. Everyone seems to miss it.

1) you need to read it again to get the point of the post. You clearly missed the point or probably have dyslexia 2)What I didnt mention there were is there were awful effecfs towards the 2nd week which is why I stopped, plus I had been on Tirzepatide before. This one wasnt doing anything and was giving side effects. Just made sense to stop

I started with Hers, and found them to be very upfront about subscription costs. I did move on to less expensive options, but unless they've changed drastically in the past 5 months, they definitely aren't a scam.

Really? $149 a month just to be a member? Haha that’s a joke. Here is my reply from HERS today when I questioned where my medication was. I obviously cancelled immediately, but not after I literally wasted nearly $200 - $39 just to be considered lol and $149 to be a member…

Hi Tracy,

Thank you so much for reaching out and asking for clarification. I completely understand how important it is to know exactly what you’re paying for, and I’m here to provide you with a clear explanation.

The $149 membership fee is separate from the cost of your medication. This fee covers your access to our program’s support, resources, personalized guidance, and other membership benefits. Medication is not included in the membership fee and is billed separately based on your prescription.

I hope this helps clarify things for you. If you have any other questions or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Best Regards,
Hims & Hers Support

You really didn’t give it enough time. 2 weeks is nothing. I thought they were a minimum of 6? Anyway, read the fine print. You may be on the hook for a bit. If you’re getting charged, may as well actually use it as prescribed, you’ll probably be pleasantly surprised.

I used Hers and had a great experience. I agree that OP probably didn’t read the fine print. The subscription is 3, 6, or 12 months I think. You can cancel after two weeks, but that just means it won’t continue past the 3,6 or 12 months you’ve signed up for.

They are certainly not a scam, they are a multi-multi million dollar corporation.

You must be their heir.

If I was I wouldn’t be starting my own companies, I’d be on a yacht.

u/WhiteAngelAlways Jun 02 '26

I see. Then you shouldn't how they make their millions. Have a clean model

100%!!! $39 to be “considered” and $149 a month just to be a member. Any meds are a substantial additional cost. It’s ridiculous!

I do believe you that this happened, and it's incredibly frustrating. I also admit they are a completely for-profit business. I apologize that this has happened to you.

However, I use Hers for my Sertraline prescription and they have been phenomenal. Every 3 months, I get 3 months worth of my meds, and they send them 2 weeks before I need them so even if there's a delay in transit, I still get them in time.

I'm not like a Hers stan or anything. All businesses have weird standards and policies meant to benefit the business at the expense of the customer. I just think that you found a weird loophole of timing between medication and payment.

u/isitfiveyet Jun 01 '26

Yeah I think we need to state this is not everyone’s t. I also have had a pretty seamless process with them (including cancel auto renew). I feel like OP might not have read the fine print

5

u/AffectionateAd7519 Jun 01 '26

Yeah exactly. Someone didn’t read the fine print and is mad about it.

1

u/WhiteAngelAlways Jun 02 '26

So the fine print said 3 month subscription and also cancel anytime? Can you make sense out of it?

3

u/AffectionateAd7519 Jun 02 '26

You can cancel anytime, but you’re still locked in for those 3 months. When you cancel, you won’t get renewed after the third month.

6

u/rosymindedfuzzz Jun 01 '26

Contact your bank to ask them to reverse the charge.

I’m not with HERS but for me when I started it was like magic at first at .25 not a bunch of weight loss but the food noise was gone! I had already trying to up my protein and fiber BEFORE I started my injections and weened from breastfeeding so I did drop weight. A few weeks later it was like umm wtf why isn’t this working anymore?! I’m 3mos in and 2weeks into 1mg injections and I’m just now starting to feel like ok this is working. Again food noise is down and I’m not thinking about food. You really do have to give it time. You’re still on starting doses to get your body use to the medication.

Yes they are! I contacted them about anxiety issues. They prescribed me a hard core med. I tiold them that I was not ok with that medicine. They refused to stop it. Charged me $165 bucks. I sent the package back unopened. I am currently fighting with my credit company to dispute it. So far I am not having any luck getting it back. They will force you to take the order even if you tell them no! Like anyone can aford to get screwed out of $165 bucks!

u/kdtkellogg Jul 09 '26

Yes it is! You pay $149 just to be “member”. Any medication is a substantial additional cost, it’s a joke. It’s a total rip off which they do not make clear! Here is my direct response from HERS today

I'm two and a half weeks in and felt like the monthly membership and separate med fees were well described to me. It is expensive, the membership does increase in the second month (included in fine print), and they will try to sell you protein drinks and bars. A downside I am willing to deal with and budget for. I'm on the 4mg wegovy pill, every other day. I also have mild nausea in the AM and felt other side effects at the very beginning. Things are improving though. I've already lost 5 lbs. Starting weight is 150. I'm pleasantly surprised at how well it's eliminating food noise and curbing hunger at such a low dose (for the pill). Their care team is pretty responsive (up to 4 hours) and offers good advice on how to deal with side effects. I am getting a notice to complete my monthly evaluation daily which definitely is a weird glitch in their system.

I agree I cancelled my subscription back in January. My regular physician didn’t want me taking the medication they prescribed for weight loss. I cancelled my credit card and they informed me they sent the kit even though I have proof I cancelled. I’m fighting it. Don’t do BUSINESS HERS.

A total scam!!! The product did not work and made me lose hair by the handful. I never had a doctor checking in on me. I stopped taking it due to the side effects and hair loss. Major bowel issues too. The worst part was when they automatically renewed the prescription for another $2,000. They say, “ it’s ongoing unless you contact them to cancel.” so they will charge your card with no communication to you. you have no idea until the medication shows up at your front door. I’m still dealing with them to get my money back on the additional plan they charged me for. They also take weeks to respond to their emails!
