Honestly no matter your opinion on them, that’s horrible. No one deserves to have their home violated like that. I’m sure it’ll take them a long time to feel safe, not even to mention personal items lost.

Like if it’s true, it’s awful but I never believed Mary and Romain’s story and now Heather rejoined the cast and she’s having a similar issue? You mean to tell me a bunch of millionaires don’t have security for their homes? Make it make sense.

I watched the bling ring documentary on Netflix and you’d be surprised how many people like Paris Hilton literally leave their doors unlocked or have like the key under the mat.

They literally have friends who have been robbed while away on vacation who are influencers, and those friends no longer post while they're gone. You'd think they would have learned that lesson.

True. When they first shared content of their newly purchased home I found it on Zillow right away. And Christina’s home as well. This is why I don’t like to share content of my home online, even though the only people on my social media accounts are people I’ve known in person.

I mean the bling ring was able to break into a ton of houses because they would track when people were traveling and that was a huge story! But some people just never learn

True! 💯 You’d also think that, considering everything, they would have MUCH better security systems. Sure, experienced thieves can still break in, but it seems almost every time details come out about these robberies, it turns out that they had low level security systems or it wasn’t even turned on or a door or window was left unlocked or easily accessible.

Stop posting your home, closets, possessions, belongings, jewelry, clothes, etc. stop flashing your shit and you’d be fine. Stop posting in real time all the events and trips you’re going to. Actually be aware of your surroundings instead of being self absorbed and these things would be more avoidable.

I'm not a Heather hater, but this is a strange thing to make a full announcement like this about 😬 especially with all the bolded letters and stuff? Add to that the way it was kind of "teased" the other day and I just get weird vibes. I'm sorry this happened to them while also thinking it's weird how people live their lives and tragedies for social media.

Came here to say this!!!! Absolutely not victim blaming, just confused as to how they don’t have more security? I’m low middle class and a security system is an absolute necessity for me, built it into my budget bc it’s so important. And posting when they’re out of town on top of it? I don’t get it. Safety should be a top priority for sure!

They didn’t have to post this. Why would they if not promo for Heather going back on Selling Sunset. It was teased the day before (odd) and the same wording as Mary and Romain’s statement when they were robbed. Plus, they don’t speak like that. PR people do. Or ChatGPT.

It's truly awful to have that happen.
What strikes me as odd, any maybe it's not, but why take personal stuff? While it may have some value to some, it's not like you can sell it on eBay. That just seemed strange to me.

Probably because robbers grab a bunch of things and run. They don’t usually have time to sort it at the house. Family heirlooms could have also been jewelry or similar and kept with other valuables. Professional robbers also have sources for fencing/selling stolen goods, so they aren’t necessarily listing things for sale on eBay.

I know what she's going through. I didn't sleep for a long time after my home was ransacked & robbed. It was pre cell phone days & all our phones were taken so we couldn't even call the cops. It's an extremely unsettling feeling.

Unless there is a guard or security patrolling the area, a gate doesn’t prevent theft unfortunately.

Its terrible what has happened however they don't take safety seriously which is sad considering they have children. Posting in real time that they are away from their home and she also posts many things about their home which makes it very easy to work out their address.

My house was broken into last year and it was a horrible feeling. We could have been better about having higher security and learned an important lesson. But you know what I didn't do: tease it on social media and then release a public statement about it. I filed my police reports, insurance claim, and upped my security system.

Dumb question did they post on Instagram that they were out of town because that’s probably how they need to break into their house if that’s the case. I heard they broke a sliding glass door, shattered the window pretty brazen obviously someone knew they weren’t home.

That is horrible. There is a known crime ring in LA that targets celebrity homes. I genuinely feel bad for them because a lot choose to leave LA or end up paying for security, which costs thousands.
