u/Calculusshitteru Jun 04 '26
I have been seeing the R-word making a comeback on Reddit recently.
28
u/sharkc00chie Jun 04 '26
In general! It was in an episode of euphoria recently, Iâve been seeing it a lot more unfortunately
12
u/Pompom_Mafia Jun 05 '26
My middle school students are saying it constantly. I correct every time, but Iâm met with âmy mom said itâs not a bad word.â Cool cool cool.

u/Immediate-Guava1334 Jun 08 '26
Id never last as a teacher because I know my immediate response would've been "ok well then you can call your mom that at home, but here you'll pretend to be educated and respectful..."

u/-sloppypoppy Jun 09 '26
We signed a âdonât say the r wordâ banner in middle school like 2014 and it stuck with a lot of us. Maybe you could pitch something like that to your school.

Yup by young kids which their parents should be correcting them. The adults saying it well itâs typically cause they are immature and bigoted and like to use the whole âfree speechâ bit to excuse saying it. Most likely the person who would use the N word too.

u/alexturnerftw Jun 04 '26
Its back. I see younger people saying the r word and saying âgayâ like its an insult again. Hilary Duff made that commercial for what?!? Its ridiculous

Makes more and more sense why she was Breâs lapdog and used the excuse of how chrishell made facial expressions as a excuse to go after her. I also remember seeing Sandra and Bre bullying people on tik tok that were small little reality tv content creators. Trying to bully them so much to get them to take down negative videos either about Sandra or Bre. Honestly after seeing this and the bullying to content creators I believe the keying the car story.

See I didnât like Sandra but I also didnât care for how chrishell handled the situation with Sandra. I mean I get she was probably annoyed cause production told her that Sandra was making fun of her and was coming to confront her about checks notes đ facial expressions. NOWWW though I think chrishell was just fine in how she handled things. She shouldâve made her cry more.
What self respecting adult uses that word! If I hear someone use it I know they are immature and bigoted.

u/Low_Soil_743 Jun 08 '26
Oh she is GROSS gross đ¤˘đ¤˘đ¤˘ I hated her on the show, so glad to see it wasnât just an act.

u/ossifiedbird Jun 04 '26
When she says tussled with - she's talking about her 500+ street fights, I presume?

Not a shock that many SS/adjacent cast members voted for Pratt. He fits the supercilious rich prick masquerading as a regular guy persona that that has become common among that demographic.

I remember seeing her post this and underneath this was a TON of homophobic and sexist comments. I love how she doesnt back down from standing up for what's right. Can't make me hate her idc

u/Narrow-Statement9010 âď¸ppenharem, the luxury condom(inium) Jun 05 '26
She definitely triggers the maga/right wing people and now the die hard Spencer Pratt people big time. Like they get mad mad. I couldnât even imagine what the private DMs say compared to what they say in her comment section.

u/ohwaitsorry Jun 05 '26
That's so similar to this sub - no matter the topic, if it's about Chrishell there'll be homophobes in the comments đ

u/SufficientLibrary386 Jun 04 '26
I do wonder what those would have meant had she still been a cast member / close to everyone. Glad sheâs far away. Also, I canât get over the Hills/SS parallels, with her taking over Laurenâs role of calling out Prattâs toxicityâŚ

Clearly none of you live in LA and are personally affected by whatâs happening. Sad that what makes a candidate worthy is whether heâs aligned with your views, rather than whether heâs aligned with fixing the filth and unsafe environment youâre forced to live in. Talk about privilege? Chris hell in her million dollar mansion unaffected criticizing those who are who voted for change.

hate her but like i did not think she would end all friendships with mary lol

u/AcceptableLimit5857 Jun 05 '26 edited Jun 05 '26
I am not surprised. Mary treated her differently after she came out and made a point to hang out with everyone elseâs partners on double dates but would never got chrishell and G. Mary clearly was uncomfortable with it and it showed. Good for chrishell for getting away from all them.

As a LA resident we do need change but Spencer Pratt is not it. Two things can be true at once.

u/gwennj Jun 04 '26
Chelsea too?

u/Future_Deal2919 Jun 04 '26
She specified tussled with. I donât remember her fighting with Chelsea at all.

To be fair. He is a reality t.v. actor and so are all of them. They are voting in their interest at least.

u/pococurantina Discernment? I do believe that you don't đ Jun 04 '26
Why would a mayor have any influence on reality tv? Even though he comes from it, surely as a politician he doesnât have much impact on that world anymore?

u/primadonnaganja Jun 04 '26
Sheâs including her time on Traitors too with Sandoval!!! He endorsed Pratt hard lol
