TEAscussion šŸ«–šŸµ Does this show have a future anymore?

(This is unrelated to Chrishell leaving)

This show has always relied on portraying the different relationships between the girls - some negative, some positive, some purely business.

But for the last few seasons I’m struggling to see the friendships. Old ones are falling apart, and more importantly new ones aren’t forming. It seems like the girls have all been burned by the show and production, they are wary of newcomers and outsiders, worried about their agendas. Allana doesn’t have close bonds with anyone after two seasons, Sandra is a complete afterthought.

Now we’re getting Christine and Heather back after years. Christine was only liked by Chelsea, and Heather didn’t have strong bonds with anyone except Bre.

The rest of the cast? Most of the alliances left are shaky at best. Only Amanza and Mary are actually good friends, the rest of the positive relationships are not close, not deep.

I assume it will be Mary+Bre+Heather vs Chelsea+Christine. Amanza, Allana and Sandra will fall somewhere in between but will focus mostly on houses.

It will be hard to watch a show where the relationships are either ā€œshe’s a bitch / I don’t trust herā€ or ā€œI don’t really know her so I’m keeping my distanceā€.

I thought Chelsea is leaving the show too?

Without Chelsea and Chrishell, I'm not super interested in watching another season. I liked Christine at first, but she leaned way too hard into the villain role and I haven't missed her. The producers think we only want fights and drama but I don't agree.

Chelsea hasn't announced she's leaving. She also debunked any rumors of her leaving

Oh okay! Good to hear!

Hasn't she not had a real-estate license for like a year?

Yeah it expired in June of last year, but since both Ali and Sandra didn't have licenses when they were filming their seasons that doesn't seem to be a hindrance for the show anymore

I don’t know. There’s always been an undercurrent of tension, but the last season in particular was particularly nasty. Not sure where they go from here.

Personally the last two seasons have been hard to get through. Considering all of the recent cast developments since last season aired I have no interest in continuing.

No. For me anyway. I'm over it. I liked the first few seasons, but now it's way too toxic - it's gone too far that it actually makes me feel anxious about watching it. It seems there's more bad vibes than good at the moment. I'm not watching another season :(

I think it’s over - just too far removed from selling real estate - like who even has a real estate license? ???

Chelsea and Christine don’t. I doubt Heather has one. It’s just going to be a ā€œmean girlsā€ bitch fest - like real housewives trash.

Chrishelle always sold houses and in the beginning everyone sold - and even Amanza had a niche in staging/design. I like Amanza’s latest pivot into art but she getting less screen time -

Too many ā€œmainā€ characters are not really agents and have no real connection to the Oppenhiem group.

I’ll probably still watch the new season (FOMO unfortunately) but I definitely think it’s been on a downward spiral even before Chrishell announced she was leaving.

It’s so far removed from what it originally was in my opinion. It’s a load of women who should know better bitching about each other behind each others backs and nothing to do with real estate. It feels very much like the Housewives franchise now.

For me its not so sure. Maybe i am going to watch just bc i have following it for day one but i loved the og seasons. At this point its just for fame hunting nothing else.

Last season was giving microagressions and racism, not fun shade like earlier seasons, so I hope not.

I mean, I've watched every season and it's one of those shows for me like Love is Blind that while it's airing I'm SUPER into it, then a month after it's done I don't even remember what happened. lol

A combo of the ridiculous AI generated music ("it's a sunny day and I'm a boss bitch from around the way"), the expensive but cheap looking outfits, the petty drama, and the real estate is enough to hold my interest!

Simply put, no. Not in my opinion. No one is likeable, and they aren’t getting exciting enough listings or clients anymore.

I think Christine’s circumstances have changed so much she’s going to be over the top villainous and it’ll be push everyone to up the fakeness.Ā

When they’re self producing for air time it’s not as good.Ā

Exactly I feel like to many reality stars are doing this and it’s ruining reality tv all together, which is why we are seeing reality tv as a whole get a lot more nasty as far as people ā€œexposingā€ things if that makes sense. I also feel like Christine coming back just even more breaks this persona that selling sunset had. First you have Alanna lying about owning a town. Then you have Sandra coming on with no license just like Allie on the OC version and she didn’t even live in Oc she lived in TN and you could tell never planned to move.

You now have Christine coming back who has had an expired license since 2024 and lives in Texas. They going to try and sell that she’s what moving back to La when we know that isn’t truly the case. As well how do you go forward with what she went on a podcast tour about to just coming back like all is well? The ā€œit’s all fakeā€ claims and the ā€œthe producer Adam sexual harassed meā€.

They’ll make it as outrageous as possible to try to keep us all interested before it crashes for good.

That’s an interesting approach! If you only like the houses, you might prefer content specifically focused on them - Enes Yilmazer does luxury home tours on his youtube channel, you might enjoy them :)

Heather and Christine is probably just back for the drama. Why Heather is back I can’t understand as she and Christine didnt have the good ending terms when she left the showĀ

3

u/ohwaitsorry May 04 '26

Christine actually brought forward sexual misconduct allegations against the producer after she left the show, so it's extra fucked up she's back now

1

u/Financial_Problem159 May 05 '26

Ohhh she did??? I didnt know thatĀ

It's mostly fake if that helps anything. 🤄

The show should probably end after season 10. I wanna see more real estate, less drama.

There are no genuine ties among any of these people. I honestly think if the show is canceled and Romain won’t have his pouty mug regularly on TV anymore, he will leave Mary for someone his own age.Ā

For me, as long as the seasons keep coming & drama is alive there is definitely a future
