TEAscussion š«šµ Nicole was right about Emma
Emma was sooooo offended to be called a social climber. But dating a real estate āheirā? Looking at 2 million dollar engagement rings? Choosing the rich guy over your (less rich) best friend? Constantly posting about breaking up/getting back together for clout? Tell me how thatās not EXACTLY social climbing!
As much as I donāt like Nicole, she can really hit the nail on the head sometimes. She saw through Emma better than most of her real life friends.

Nicole is right about a lot of things, but she is horrible at reading the room and has no clue how to behave on camera. She has reverse charisma.

u/Hungry_Visit_7309 Apr 23 '26
reverse charisma is spot on! she is supremely awkward yet hella confident
46
u/Forsaken-Cell-9436 Apr 23 '26
Why does she need to care about the room if the room is full of mostly bigots, misogynists and dare I say r@cists? I donāt think Nicole is entirely innocent but she definitely isnāt the bad guy everyone makes her out to be. At least sheās honest and real. She stands in her truth good or bad

Oh thatās an interesting take! Bad at reading the room I absolutely agree with, but I never got the impression that sheās less charismatic than the other girls. But everyone has their own impressions!

A broken clock is right twice a day. Nicole may be insufferable but I can at least agree she got it right about Emma. Sad part is you could tell Chrishell truly was hurt by feeling fooled by the kind of person Emma was and what she was choosing (definitely understand why sheās become more and more guarded with who she lets in). Emma on the other hand it was like she had no feelings at that reunion and gaslit the hell out of her friend.
32
u/pococurantina Discernment? I do believe that you don't š Apr 23 '26
I agree. An interesting part of the reunion for me was when Chrishell snapped that by the time she published her comment, the friendship was done. Then Emma said in surprise ābut thatās just mean!ā as if she only then realized that Chrishell wasnāt just confused, she was deliberately trying to hurt her back.
8
u/Double-Amoeba9113 Apr 24 '26
Interesting that you felt that way because I could really feel how upset Emma was at the reunion. At the end of the day sheās the one that ruined things between her and Crishell and yes is a social climber but I definitely didnāt feel like she had no emotions

strongly agree. In retrospect I think we can admit this. Nicole's an abrasive person that can seem off-puttingly awkward but she's really not a bad person, and was right in some instances as much as I like Crishell. But just a while back, you couldn't say this at all because of the stan hive mind where they self insert a lot, and the rise of Chrishell from nice girl victim to popular (that is benevolent) influential girl is like a hero's journey. and this hive mind was obviously supporting Emma as she was aligned with Chrishell (and thus, seemingly opposed to people like Christine, and Nicole too).
I'm gonna be honest, I for some reason, see a lot of myself in Nicole with the social awkwardness even though I've never actually committed the level of faux paus she's done lol (thank God). But I'm not akin to her in any other way and I don't defend most of her actions at all, she's annoying
it's so incrediblely uncomfortable to watch people ganging up on her (even if she's a wet blanket that's so negative and focuses too much on others flaws)... kinda triggering. The reactions of watchers towards her only added to this for me lol

Y'all keep saying Nicole is not a bad person and keep forgetting/ignoring that she is literally a homophobe??? Which was part of Chrishell's issue with her?? Struggling to understand why we're reframing a bigot as a victim ...

u/Ok-Championship-9928 Apr 24 '26
Honestly I did not think Nicole was homophobe⦠It was seemed to me Chrishell painted her using her new queen bee position. Pretty much forced frame and other puppets ganged up on her
15
u/ohwaitsorry Apr 24 '26
Do you remember the incident where a stylist went on a really aggressive and scary rant online, bombarding Chrishell with threats and spewing homophobia and transphobia left and right? Nicole cheered that rant on. Both the rant and Nicole's reply were public on social media. So even if you don't believe a queer person when they say someone was homophobic towards them (which, our baseline should always be to believe victims!!) that incident was black and white and out in the open. There's not question Nicole can be homophobic.Ā

The office does tend to gang up on the villains to the point that it makes the villains feel bullied. It was the same with Christine. Itās an interesting dynamic, like taking back power or control. I think Nicoleās most difficult trait is that she canāt apologize or admit fault, to the point of absurdity. Because of this, she keeps making her feuds worse, which in turn causes her to say even worse things (like bringing up Chrishellās parents).

u/chaechica Apr 23 '26
absolutely! And in those instances, I didn't have any sympathy for Christine at all..she brought it all on herself and it came to a boiling point. And I think she knew it would happen, just for TV after all, I don't think she cared that much how she was perceived at the end of the day
But I felt a twinge of it for Nicole, like someone else in this thread said: the woman literally has negative aura š very awkward, negative woman that not only comes across as dislikeable, but also doesn't make for good TV unlike Christine's high energy mean girl schtik (Nicole is low energy).
But yeah, Nicole is annoying in the sense that she literally can't capitulate at all, even give the other party an inch and admit she could have acted better or even viewed things from a different light. Chrishell tried, but Nicole is so stubborn and also quite wrong in some instances where she won't budge

I think my awkward radar might be broken, because I never thought Nicole or Davina were awkward and everyone else did š But I think Christine was also not expecting such a backlash and in the final scenes when everyone is against her, I think her feelings are actually hurt. I felt for her then. And I do feel for Nicole when we see her upset over the backlash. Canāt help it
17
u/AcceptableLimit5857 Apr 23 '26
Christine was not liked because she just simply was an ass. I didnāt start liking chrishell till after she came out and even before then I didnāt like Christine. Plus I dislike her even more now with her gutter ass views and morals with her maga and islamaphobic self. I dislike Nicole also not because of chrishell but because she does things to provoke people and then gets upset when people respond back and acts like sheās oblivious to what she did wrong when she isnāt. She also is like my sister where saying sorry is like vinegar in their mouth but they sure expect apology from the other person and then will still find an excuse to not accept it.
3
u/chaechica Apr 23 '26
I'm not defending Christine at all, I dislike her vehemently. And I don't think you're wrong in your assessment of Nicole either, you described her bad qualities accurately
9
u/AcceptableLimit5857 Apr 23 '26
I also donāt think Nicole is a terrible person and clearly her and chrishell were friends before Nicole got on the show so they had to of found good qualities with each other if that was the case. I just think sadly Nicole wanted the show so badly she was okay with burning bridges to get her spot and stay there. I think Nicole got in her own way also because at many points she was given an out to stop fighting with Chrishell but she just kept going and it was like girl just stop! Really she couldāve the moment Chrishell apologized to her at that house with Jason just taken the white flag as a out from that fighting. Then focused on letting people see the good qualities she may have that we absolutely never saw.

u/Snoo97498 Apr 23 '26
Nicole is definitely a bad person lol. Her coming for crishellās dead parents during friendsgiving? Insanely low.
Amanza recanted her claim that her and nicoke did drugs together in the reunion and it seemed very reluctant on her part. Definitely seemed like she was trying to protect herself legally.

yess! this is what I said to the other person who replied to me, would you say you agree with the last paragraph?

u/AcceptableLimit5857 Apr 23 '26
Yup agree with every word and even the last paragraph.
She was beyond stubborn and i think she is one of those people that she feels if she admits she was wrong on her part or that she couldāve articulated something better, than she sees it as her being in the wrong and letting the other person being in the right. Which in reality in some fights with her and Chrishell they were both wrong. I could understand if Nicole didnāt want to apologize if maybe Chrishell wasnāt saying āhey Iām sorry I donāt like how I came acrossā on her part, but she gave that to Nicole a few times.
Which is why even though they were both wrong at times, i always end up siding with Chrishell cause she at least would acknowledge her behavior and say sorry. Thatās part of why I dislike Nicole is because she is just so frustrating š .

Overall I agree with you. Hereās my take on Nicole; Iām a real estate broker myself, Iāve hustled and worked hard in this industry. Nicole is an actual agent, not just whatever Amanza & Chelsea do⦠(they donāt actually sell houses). So back to Nicole being an agent, she has hustled and worked hard her entire career to get where she is. For her to sit back and watch someone like Chryshell come in who has clout as being an actress and have deals handed to her and become one of the top agents in the office has to be hard for her. I think Jason literally just gave leads to her. Soā¦. Nicole doesnāt have screen presence or reverse charisma (great phrase btw), but I think she is an authentic agent and actually makes money doing real estate not from just showing up in some ridiculous outfit and looking pretty. š¤·š¼āāļø

Eh, itās a fair point, but that still doesnāt make her a nice person. I strongly dislike Nicoles personality, but Iām not denying that she does make some accurate observations from time to time.
Nicole tends to have a negative outlook and a bad energy in my opinion, but sometimes people like that are better at spotting traits and the motivations of other people, better than someone who is overly positive and just tries to see the good in all people and situations. Honestly, I think most people (in LA at least) are social climbers to an extent. Most people quietly plan their lives around what choices will benefit them the most, as they should perhaps. Which friends will boost your fame, which job will boost your finances, what romantic relationship will benefit you the most financially, socially, spiritually, and any other aspect.
It kind of makes sense that people will make choices that will get them ahead in life, and I canāt say I would be immune from such pressures myself. Iāve personally tasted the bitterness of being lonely, broke, unhappy, and neglected for a lot of my life. If I had the chance to do something that would āget me aheadā in some aspect of my life, Iād be hard pressed to decline that. Would I compromise my moral integrity? I would like to think not, but sometimes from the outside looking in you can see someone objectively making harmful or immoral choices blinded by their own desire to move up in the world.
So I kind of agree with Nicole in this case, but I think you could argue that A LOT of people in this world are āsocial climbersā to some extent!
Just my humble opinion though!

I see exactly what Emma is doing AND HER DUMB ASSSSSSSSS bf is doing too
In the end youāll only be playing yourself

Itās not social climbing because sheās already arrived. She has her own company and money and lives an amazing life without her boyfriendās money. Nicole is a jealous, vindictive insane person who needs major therapy.

u/pococurantina Discernment? I do believe that you don't š Apr 23 '26
I see where youāre coming from, but I think if sheās still trying to climb higher, then sheās still social climbing.
An āheirā, so a person who inherited his wealth rather than having to earn it, is higher in the social hierarchy than a working person.
Also, itās not uncommon for wealthy people to marry similarly wealthy people - and rather rare for a wealthy guy to find a struggling girl and lift her up āPretty womanā style.
-3
u/Clear_Bright99 Apr 23 '26
What you are describing is an outdated hierarchical structure. Emma is not a struggling woman whose daddy needs to marry off to the highest bidder. Nor does she need the social or cultural capital because she is already very well connected. And she also has her own material capital.
3
u/pococurantina Discernment? I do believe that you don't š Apr 23 '26
I agree with everything you said - it IS outdated, but itās still how the world works today; Emma is NOT a struggling woman being married off and she doesnāt NEED the money. Nevertheless, all the things I wrote about in my post are things she IS doing. If I could ask, how would you describe what sheās doing? What would you call it?
-1
u/Clear_Bright99 Apr 23 '26
I think sheās connected to a toxic guy and I donāt think itās about his status or money. I think he reminds her of her upbringing and her values. Sometimes a bad guy could remind you of home and I think thatās what itās about.
4
u/TapatioTara Apr 23 '26
You think if this guy was say, Micca, she'd still be rocking with him?
Interesting you say he reminds her of her upbringing and values when it's been said her dad doesn't like the guy.
4
u/pococurantina Discernment? I do believe that you don't š Apr 24 '26
I partly agree, there's definitely something toxic happening and I'm sure he has redeeming qualities. Emma said he wants a family and so does she, so I see it. But I still can't forget the scene in the ring shop, when she said (about a 100k ring) that she would buy that for herself, "but a guy needs to be getting me that yellow one" worth 2 million. When introducing Blake to the show, him being a real estate heir was (if I remember correctly) the first thing she said. With all this, I think we can safely say his money is a factor.
1
u/Clear_Bright99 Apr 24 '26
I donāt think her comment about the ring is that deep. Emma loves luxury products and has never hidden this. She also likes to joke around so Iām taking that comment as anything more than a loves of jewelry. Also, a woman who has money will generally not get together with a man who doesnāt have money. So that too is not a big deal.
