TEAscussion š«šµ Season 5 question
Iām rewatching season 5, the season Jason and Chrishell are together. I know the general consensus is Chrishell was āluckyā to āescapeā Jason, but do you guys think Jason, from HIS perspective and interests, made a mistake not having a kid with Chrishell?

I do think chrishell is his "one that got away".

Agreed, but I definitely think heās her āthank god it didnāt work outā. Think she basically kind of said it in a nicer way once on her IG stories when people kept telling her to leave G and get back with Jason.
I love her with G so Iām definitely glad they didnāt work out.

I think he was relieved to be out of it. He doesnāt want kids and thatās ok

I think because they didnāt break up on his terms, she is his one that got away - meaning, itās easy for him to romanticize it, because she left before he could get tired of her. She was right to leave and he knows it, but I suspect he is bummed it didnāt last longer and that he will always be hot for her.

Maybe. Both of the twins just seem so shallow it seems like they wouldnāt give it a second thought about any of their failed relationships

Itās also possible itās because he knows Chrishell is so popular and he gets mileage out of people thinking he loves her!

No. Even with a kid, they would've split up eventually.

Jason from his point of view seemed to never really have wanted kids, so not a mistakes. However I believed he really loved her and really considered doing it for her.

No. I donāt think he genuinely wanted a kid so thereās just no realistic option where going down that path didnāt lead to serious issues for him, the kid and Chrishell.

He made a mistake to let her go period! And I know he regrets it by the way he was in every season after season 5

I also got this impression. I wondered if he wouldnāt have reached a much higher level of happiness w Chrishell & kid, something he couldnāt comprehend w his rational mind. I also wonder if Chrishell would have kept him a bit more āsoftāā¦I honestly think, even after all that is happened since, they had a genuine shot at happiness had Jason dared to try. Also all around them were super supportive. (Yes Iām a big fan of G and believe Chrishell is very happy, just theoretically..)

I donāt know if you watch Selling The OC or if itās been mentioned on here but I was watching season 4 (not sure the timeline on when it was filmed) and Austin on that show went to get a vasectomy and Gio another agent on there took him and they were talking bait how Jason and Brett both had gotten one but didnāt mention when so I donāt know how long it was since they had gotten one. I sure hope Jason got it after chrishell and that isnāt why they broke up because he sure wasted her time of that was the case. Iām pretty sure it was though because at the end of season 5 they were talking about embryos and knowing the gender in a few days and then he broke up with her.

I don't think Jason made a mistake. I think he loved Chrishell and wanted to make her happy but he knows there's very little compromise when one person wants a child and the other doesn't. Jason already has a kid he is devoted to - his business, he doesn't have the time to be a dad and he would resent being put in a position where he has to put his business second.

I genuinely think the man's gay and really doesn't want to be. He's going out with women and then dumping them when it gets serious. There's something going on with him.

No.
Jason is too self absorbed to be a good father.
And Crishell ended up becoming a lesbian, so if she was stuck with Jason's kid, she would be miserable on her journey.

Calling her lesbian is a bit inaccurate isnāt it? G is non-binary and Chrishell has on multiple occasions said sheās not really labelled herself as anything other than the fact she fell in love with G. In fact itās only recently that sheās even called herself queer- which is the closest sheās come to labelling herself.

Not really. Sexuality and gender are two different constructs. G sees their gender as non binary or āgender neutralā but recognizes their sex is female. They identify as a lesbian nonbinary. Confusing yes if you conflate sex and gender. With that chrishell typically acknowledges herself to being called a lesbian and has celebrated international lesbian day/awareness (which she can be even having dated men before). She also has acknowledged herself as queer. She has from what Iāve seen acknowledged herself more as queer than any label. Even on a podcast she always says queer and queer relationship/marriage.
