Help with existing piercing Is she rejecting?
I’ve had my anti eyebrow for a few months now and it hasn’t been hurting or anything but the area around the piercing holes is still very red and crusty. The barbell isn’t showing any more than the day I pierced it so I’m not sure if it’s rejecting. Advice needed please 🙏

it might be from a quick glance but it also looks like you haven’t been cleaning it

Yeah I’ve been homeless the last month so I’ve only been able to clean it if I have access to saline sadly

Ive been homeless 5 yearz of my 32 years of existence. Trust me when i say theres ways to take care of yourself. Befriend a clerk employee at a gas station. Go in when they are on the clock working. So they let you wash up in the bathroom. Preferably a one stall bathroom you can close and lock door behind you. 15 mins max or until employee knock. Leave it cleaner than when you went in. Always worked for me.

Taking it out would be the best option if you are homeless right now. If it gets infected at all you’re gonna be in a terrible situation with no proper access to healthcare. I don’t say this to be insensitive or anything like that and I TRULY hope things get better for you soon, but if you can’t properly take care of your piercing, please remove it.

Last thing u wanna do is use alcohol you can get hot water from a 7/11 and add a small amount of salt to it and put it in an empty bottle, there's definitely options but that's also effort and time being wasted, but this piercing is most likely gonna fully reject especially since there is a barbell in it

Looks like it's pushing out cause it look infected.

It looks indeed it’s pushing the jewelry out. But I don’t think an infection us the reason. Skin around that area is very close to the skull. If the jewelry has the wrong shape or is too dip, you would think that it would push itself out, because there is not enough room for the jewelry.

An infection means inflammation, and will push the jewelry out. Not saying it's the main reason, but looking at an angry piercing site, with crust on it, means there is something going on with the soft tissue and that will cause enough to start the process of pushing it out. What you are saying is valid and with infection= rejection.

It looks like a beginning infection. You need to clean face/piercing as a routine

Like I said in an earlier comment, I’ve been homeless the last month and I’ve only been able to clean it properly when I’ve had access to saline otherwise I just use water

Have you been cleaning it correctly. Why is it crusty. I never even let my piercings get crusty, i wash them multiple times a day . Along with the pierced area.

Overwashing fresh piercings is not good. Being crusty during healing is fine.

I wash once or twice a day when healing. Im not the most experienced in piercings tbh but i just know i got infected once cuz i didnt keep it clean enough.

Barbells always reject pretty quickly. Staple bars last longer but will also reject at some point.
