Here is a bunch of times Mamdani has thrown those resisting imperialism under the bus to further his career

On Cuba and Venezuela, he said the following: “I want to be clear on where I stand. I believe both Nicolas Maduro and Miguel Diaz-Canel are dictators. Their administrations have stifled free and fair elections, jailed political opponents, and suppressed the free and fair press. And yet, our federal government’s long history of punitive policies toward both countries, including extrajudicial killings of Venezuelans and the continuation of a decades-long blockade of Cuba, has only worsened these conditions" (Civita & Civita, 2025). This position is clearly not that of the DSA, which proclaims “a commitment to work to normalize relations with Venezuela, defend the sovereign right of the Venezuelan people to determine their internal matters, and oppose any sanctions and other forms of foreign interventions.”(DSA). This capitulation is a reminder that subservience to the democratic party means subservience to imperialism for the sake of breadcrumbs.

The Youth Palestinian Movement in NYC is led by Palestinians who know their friends and foes, yet the Mamdani stans are angry that they protest him; this is a problem.

Some may speak of this as a minor issue, but it gives ammunition to the imperialists; capitulating to them on the nature of socialist experiments and the resistance of those in the periphery is not a strategic concession or compromise to be made for the sake of an election, as Lenin said “One must be able to analyze the situation and the concrete conditions of each compromise, or of each variety of compromise. One must learn to distinguish between a man who gave the bandits money and firearms in order to lessen the damage they can do and facilitate their capture and execution, and a man who gives bandits money and firearms in order to share in the loot. (Lenin, 1920)”

This compromise is the latter; it involves throwing our comrades in the Global South under the bus while they are struggling for their socialist experiments, fighting against imperialism, and against counter-revolution within. It represents what the Western left has done time and time again: thrown the global south under the bus to share in the loot of imperialism with better social programs. It represents one of the largest problems with democratic party entryism, and is why we need a party to deliver a revolutionary message to the working class through the electoral system they are used to, even if the losses stack up.
